Very talky, just like West Wing. Not saying that's a bad thing, but, damn, I feel like I've run a mile after watching.

I didn't like next week's trailer... but have loved the first two.

I loved the song that opened their new show, especially the repeated line about doing too much blow. This show has major promise.

Excellent, excellent stuff. D.L. Hughley is pretty funny, too.

First off, I now officially have a crush on Sarah Paulson. I'm talking a "Fenian/IJAG-at-the-Gyllenhaal-family-reunion" crush.

It was a very good episode, but I wonder how hard it will be for Sorkin to not only think of good S60 plot lines, but also good comedy sketches. After the first ep, I kind of figured it would just be the behind the scenes stuff, leaving the actual show to our imagination.

anyone catch the line in the press conference about people who write tv shows aren't smarter than people who watch them.... sports nite reference or is that just an SportsJournalists.com thing?

Oh, I've had that crush for a while now. Even if she does play for the other team.

This is the first show I've watched in quite a while which I wished was two hours long. That's good and bad. I mean, there's little doubt it could keep my interest and keep moving for two hours. But the bad part is, as a one-hour show, it almost seems like Sorkin's trying to cram too much into it. There's almost TOO much going on, TOO many faces to sort out.

he's doing the work of two shows and, if he pulls it off, will show up the rest of television... so far, so good in my book

This is what I look like when Sarah Paulson shows up on screen. I don't care if she prefers cleaning carpets to polishing doorknobs. She is my new official celebrity crush.

    :D :D :D

I forgot until I read this thread...didn't Matthew Perry date Jamie Tarses? Another fantastic inside joke embedded in the script.

I loved--LOVED!!!--the last scene tonight, where Perry is smiling at how well the opening skit went, turns around and sees the clock reset to remind him how much time he has until the next week. LOVED that scene.

    Excellent show thus far.

Great second episode. Matt Perry can deliver a one-liner as well as anyone in the biz...
