During the show I was worried that the show within a show open would be handled kind of like the way they did the Minnesota State games on Coach, where you would only see the run-up and the post-show stuff. They pulled off the open and made it believable on a grand scale, which was enough for me. The fact I enjoyed the actual song was just icing on the cake.

I would hate to see her gone so quickly, too, before the cast even gets to settle in.

And I thought the dispatching of Seagal in "Executive Decision" was brilliant. Well done, made him look enough like a hero to make the actor happy and got him out of the movie soon enough to make the audience happy :)

When is the last time SNL had a reference to reach-arounds?

Except for those times when they showed highlights from an actual Minnesota-Wisconsin game, but instead adjusted the color settings to make Minnesota's maroon look like Minnesota State's purple ... then say they were playing West Texas.

Well, yeah, I thought a young Elizabeth Perkins was pretty darn hot, too.

It's the type of hotness that you either get or you don't. My thing isn't exotic-looking, sharp-featured faces. It's clean-looking, wide-eyed faces.

To clarify: Some people thought a young Anjelica Houston was gorgeous. I didn't get it.

Our TV critic says 30 Rock sucks and probably won't last the season... She said if it does it will because they have so much money committed to Fey, Baldwin, Dratch and Morgan that they'll let it drag out...

I was very impressed with Studio 60 again last night...

That and Kidnapped are my favorite new shows...

I liked the second ep of Studio 60 more than the first. And this time no poor audio quality! :) (Although the song was a bit hard to make out)

Amanda Peet, though, still not doing it for me in this role. She has some great lines, though. A better actor (IMO) would pull it off better.

I like Steven Weber in his role. I think some mentioned they didn't see him working as that pain-in-the-butt boss, but I think he does a good job. Timothy Busfield is aces, too.

The potential from ep. 1 increased to ep. 2 ... no reason to stop tuning in. And I don't even like Matthew Perry (generally speaking; he's good on this show).

Those of us who saw Perry on West Wing aren't so surprised that he's as good as he is on Studio 60... If you only know him as Chandler, then, yeah, this is a colossal jump...

I concur with the opinion show two was better than show one. Funnier, for one thing, which is something a show about comedy needs.

I predict that Studio 60 will easily have higher ratings than CSI: Miami by the end of the season. You gotta give the bandwagon viewers some time to get the word-of-mouth about how good the show is.
By the way, I know I'm a little slow, but I'm loving the fact that so many primetime TV shows are offered for viewing on CBS, NBC and ABC. My satellite is currently down, and I'm having TiVO withdrawls. Having access to all the shows online has been a godsend.

Oh, and Amanda Peet is HOT. In the real world, I love those ''take charge, grab-the-bull-by-the-horns women." So, I find her character extremely attractive.
Matthew Perry has been spot on and I'm a huge Bradley Whitford fan from The West Wing. I'm very happy to be able to enjoy his outstanding talent in teaming with Sorkin, again.
I just noticed I didn't even mention D.L. Hughley, Steven Weber and Timothy Busfield ... which only goes to show just how strong this show is.
    This show is a keeper.

Maybe it's just me, but, boy, was that Gilbert and Sullivan production number freaking stupid.
