You know, I'm now addicted to this show now. Love it, refuse to see any fault in it. Loved the highbrow stuff, loved the "Well, you're teeth are pretty big," loved the confrontation with the unpopular writers (more on that later) and even laughed at the bear joke. Like most Sorkin products, the show is just multi-dimensional, full and interesting. I wasn't sold on Harriet until last nite, though, until she did the Holly Hunter impersonation. Nailed it, and -- appealing to my Holly Hunter fetish -- I wanted to see if I could get her to change teams. ;D

Now, for the unpoplular writers. There was the bald guy from "Two Guys, and Girl, etc." and the other writer. The show is shot so dark, I couldn't make it out. Was the other guy Sorkin in a cameo? Kinda looked like it.

Isn't the other guy "Ramon the Pool Guy" from Seinfeld?

EDIT: To answer my own question after checking IMDB, yes it is.

Actor's name is Carlos Jacott. I remember him in "She Spies," that cheesy late-night show with Natasha Hentsridge and two other hotties as ex-cons-turned-spies.

I changed the thread title so we can track the show throughout the season ...

Bad news for fans of the show.

Last night Studio 60 was beaten by the second hour of The Bachelor: Rome.

    From TVweek:

Despite declining from a 5.8 to a 5.6 half-hour to half-hour, "CSI: Miami" outperformed its broadcast competition. ABC scored a 3.7 for the second half of its two-hour "The Bachelor: Rome" premiere, while NBC garnered a 3.5 in the demo for the third episode of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." That was down 17 percent from its performance last week. The Hollywood-behind-the-scenes drama also declined by the half-hour, from a 3.6 to a 3.4.

IIRC, weren't West Wing's ratings shit at first until word-of-mouth started catching on?

Yeah, but this show has been hyped and promoted quite a bit. And these are people falling off, not just folks who don't know it's on yet.

I want to go on record right now. If the Peacock even THINKS of Love Monkeying this show, I'm blowing up 30 Rock. I will find a way, and I will carry it out. I will learn chemistry, and I will combine three bottles of Yoohoo with some Pert and Scope, stick a wick in it and take the place out.

Yeah, WW took about half a season to catch on. The problem with S60 is that the ratings are going in the opposite direction -- they aren't building an audience, they are losing them.

But how many are Tivo'ing Studio 60 while watching the Bachelor or CSI:Miami? Isn't S60OTSS one of the most Tivo'ed shows?

That's not necessarily a good sign...
"Burger King, you really need to advertise on Studio 60....thousands of people Tivo us every week!"
"So we should spend ad $$$ on a show where everyone is going to fast forward through our commercial?"
