I love the show... I think it's very intelligent. I'm sure it's not 100 percent true to form about behind the scenes at a TV show, but I'm sure many aspects of it are...

It's also refreshing to watch a show that doesn't have anything to do with crime, courts or doctors, even though some of my favorite shows (Criminal Minds, House, CSI) all do...

I love Sarah Paulson. I think she's the most intriguing character on the show...

  2. Intriguing?
    Maybe.
    Funny?
    Not remotely.

Keep in mind, it's not supposed to be funny. It's a drama.

Does it have funny moments? Yes, but if you're looking for a laff-a-minute jokefest, you're watching the wrong show.

  4. The problem is that the show it's ABOUT is supposed to be funny.
    And it's not.

I'm trying to think of an hour-long show on any network that I think is funny...

Rescue Me, Monk... Can't think of any from a network... I guess House is kind of funny in it's own little way...

Desparate Housewives would probably be the closest, but again the humor ususally is involved in sub-plots and not the main storylines.

Much like athletes salaries, I don;t care how expensive it is, it's not coming out of my pocket and any money they save will not help me.

But please Aaron, less Steven Weber. Why do I have more autonomy in my job than the President of a Network's Entertainment Division?

I think Steven Weber is really good in the show (though I agree he does seem a bit omnipresent).

Sorry, there's only two things I associate with Steven Weber. One is Wings, and the other is a stilletto through your eyesocket.

I'm not sure that most of the humor on Desperate Housewives is intentional... I mean, I laugh my ass off when I watch CSI: Miami too, but not because it's a comedy...

TimeOnline guy takes a hacking to Studio60, although at the same point, see some good things from the show.

The show keeps losing its audience and, I agree, that the sketches they've put on aren't very funny. Still holding out hope, though.

the game show "Shlomo the Jew" reference was pretty funny.
