Hot. Without question. I bet she's a dirty bird in bed. Can't help it, she makes me randy. Yeah, baby. [/austinpowers]

Yes, if you like plays. Check out "Strindberg: Five Plays." He's Swedish, if I remember correctly. Kinda strange writings, takes you to different places, but it's worth the trip. This is the only book of his I've read and it was long ago in college, but I remember all the stories well, they stick with you.

By the way, the plagiarized jokes -- "forget ADD and dyslexia, whatever happend to stupid?" -- is acually DL Hughley's own material, from his real-life stand-up act. Another nice little touch from a show that's full of them.

It's a little too inside TV to be a major hit, but I hope NBC likes to demographics enough to keep it alive for a few seasons, until Sorkin gets bored or stoned and it goes into the crapper.

  5. Over/under number please on the number of times Strindberg has been referenced in the real SNL writer's room in thepast 20 years.

You might be surprised. Some SNL writers have been Ivy Leaguers, Harvard Lampoon types. They're probably not unfamiliar with the classics.

First letter of your post is about right.

Every scene the tertiary British girl's in I have to rewind four times to get a sense of what the hell she's saying.

The line about being able to find the standup with the Jewish last name in L.A. — no problem — was pretty good.

Overall? The show's dialogue is just a little too adorable for me. But the fact that Moose from the Enterprise Rent-a-car commercial/David Spade's Capital One foil has a job on a show with this sort of juice should give us all hope to live out our grandest dreams.

Nice tidbit. Thanks Joe. I don't think I've ever heard DL Hughley's standup.

I've seen Hughley live a few times. He's very funny... I'd say he's by far the best of the "Kings of Comedy" or at least he has humor that is a little more universal than the other three, although I do enjoy Bernie Mac...

As far as Studio 60 is concerned, I love the show, but I hated the ending on Monday night... I loved the way they were going and thought they should have had the apology and then had the writer fired and had a mini-scandal.

SNL had the same mini-scandal about seven years ago when I think it was Jay Mohr stole a joke from another comedian...

I'm pretty sure any joke Mohr ever said was stolen. Dude's about as funny as a sack of hammers.
