Caught up with the third and fourth episodes during a marathon of DVR viewing on Sunday night.

The first two episodes: Lots of moments I kept going back to again and again until finally I had to delete them both.

The next two episodes: Watched them once, deleted them. I did go back and watch Matt break the window with the bat again. That was funny in a slapsticky way.

Didn't the whole reveal on the plagiarized material (that they turned out to own) seem overly ornate? I mean, couldn't Ricky and Ron have found the damn thing before the first live cut-in? Not sure what that accomplished, really.

My wife noted that Jordan kisses Matt's character on the cheek, then Danny on the lips. I would have sworn, when the two guys turned away, they would have riffed on that.

Truest line followed, though, that there's only one way to go from where they are at that point.

I didn't attack any real significance to Matt's driving away at the end, other than to underscore what a lonely situation he's gotten himself into. Most managers can symphatize.

I wonder if that's Sorkin's pre-mortem (love that word) for his show.

That was a funny moment, but it's kind of stale.
I actually watched a TIVO'd episode of Coach right before I watched this week's episode.
Luther Van Dam broke about five things in Hayden's office (windows, TV, trophy case) because he couldn't handle a golf club right. So it was kind of weird to see Matt do the same thing a few minutes later.

Great exchange tonight among Ed Asner, Steven Weber and Amanda Peet that concludes with a Bill Parcells punchline....hysterical!

Funny ... but a little inaccurate.

If you were using a round number, like 10... I let it slide.

But acting precise with that number... just looks sloppy.

I'm sorry Shockey, I had the opposite reaction. That was an OK Nancy Grace, but this episode had fewer laughs than all the previous ones. The characters spend a lot of time seriously telling each other how funny the others (never themselves) are. I would prefer Sorkin point that out by having them make ME laugh.

um, methinks you need to lighten up, francis. besides, the guy who delivered the line is supposed to be a sports geek? i think not.

Previews for the next had more laughs than the last two eps combined. It may be one more and out for me. West Wing was magic that can't be duplicated.
