    Best episode so far.

Does anyone know why Jack told Amanda Peet (paraphrasing here) to "never say that again" when she said "no problem"?

Loved the scene where Whitford "created" the skit for Matthew Perry by bringing up standards and practices.

While you're at it, check to see if the folks at Webster's changed the definition of always. (Alex Karras and Susan Clark were unavailable for comment.)

I liked the discussion with Whitford and Weber talking about Peet's character. Jack actually says he likes her, but he doesn't think she's going to last. Not sure if that was supposed to be a surprising character twist or Jack just lying through his teeth.

There is only one show on television that I watch in its scheduled timeslot, CSI:Miami. There are only a few more which are DVRed and watched at a later time, The Office, Heroes, and Studio 60.

I have enjoyed this show. I hope it sticks around.

I never watched a single episode of The West Wing, so I cannot compare the two. But from what I've seen, I don't want to see it go.

Perhaps not for long. From the last graph:

[NBC president Kevin] Reilly said that he would announce a new NBC schedule next week and that “Studio 60” would “not necessarily stay on Monday.”

I think the Whitford-Perry banter is the best thing on the show. Sharp writing, like Whitford and Rob Lowe used to be, or Whitford and Toby. Makes you feel like you know the characters, but they know each other much better, which works well.

I think the airplane conversation about Peet's Jordan McDeere is to set up Danny fighting for her down the road. Again, if she got through the arrest deal and her shows are doing well, not sure how he writes her job being in jeopardy, but I suppose one inappropriate comment or action could set up that arc. I'm liking that the show doesn't revolve around Paulson every show. It's still an ensemble, so good they're moving around. Cordrry is better than I thought after the first episode or two.

Jack sees the company landscape one way, and Jordan obviously sees it another. That's one thing I liked about that episode. We got to see how two people perceive the same situation in decidedly different ways.

This will be just my luck that Studio 60 gets cancelled.

I dug SportsNight, and it gets shitcanned.

West Wing comes out, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind to start watching. Plus I had no VCR or DVR to tape it. Every rerun I've watched, I've enjoyed.

Now, I get on board again with Studio 60, and it's getting threatened of cancellation.

My only hope is that they get a chance to build an audience. Or at least tape enough episodes to match the SportsNight DVD set I have.
