Oh, if FNL gets canned, I'm going to be so pissed.

Considering the job(s) I have, that would definitely be a step up.

Well, gather ye mushrooms while ye may. Old Aaron is still a-flying, and this same show that brings smiles today tomorrow will be dying.

You guys don't think the whole contrived FCC thing is preachy? The recurring Women United Through Faith rants? Jordan's snarky hatred of reality TV?

I could go on, but I'm trying to block it from my memory so's I can still enjoy the rest of the show.

It's even preachy if you are a member of the choir.

I guess I can see the FCC plotline as preachy.

But a love me some snark. Even Jordan's snark.

I don't. It's people talking about issues, which is pretty common. Look around here. There aren't dozens of threads talking about issues? Does that make SportsJournalists.com "preachy"?

Again, it's only "people talking about issues" if both sides are fairly presented. Sorkin's writing both sides of the argument...it's like a parody of "people talking about the issues."

    What hasn't been presented fairly?

    That's life.

That's an accurate representation of life.

Why would you want "fair and balanced"? Is that how things are presented in day-to-day life?

I mean, I guess you can argue that Sorkin's characters are to the left of the average American, but that certainly fits with where they work -- a Democratic White House and a Hollywood sketch comedy show.
