There are still some funny moments, I like some of the characters and my faith in Sorkin gives me hope that this show will get better, but for now the main thing keeping me going is that it is one of the few prime time shows my wife and I watch together. Our tastes in television are pretty different otherwise.

I was disappointed. I taped both Heroes and 60 and chose to watch 60 first. Mistake.

The beginning of the end? Studio 60 is being replaced after this month by The Black Donnellys, with Studio 60 returning at a later date ... hmmm.

30 Rock also is being shelved for Andy Richter's new show, but has a return date: April 19.

I knew seeing this thread at the top of Anything Goes on a Friday had to be bad news...

Two good show that haven't yet reached their potential. I hope they both come back strong.

30 Rock needs to be more about Baldwin's character and less about Fey.

I have enjoyed Studio 60. I get those that don't like it and have jumped ship, but my wife and I watch it.

I hope the show doesn't close up shop. That wouldn't be a lot of fun.

I have enjoyed 30 Rock, though. I was bit surprised by that.

I think 30 Rock was already renewed for next year, but I could be wrong.

For a variety of reasons, I'd gotten blocked on this show.

I had, what, six episodes backed up on the DVR -- going back to the first part of the Tom-gets-arrested show.

(And is it just me, or isn't he a weak drink of water to be one of the Big 3 on the show? Were they afraid to find another male actor who could hold his own with the main stars? I'm trying hard to like him, but ... ugh.)

So I watched the back-to-back-to-back-to-back (etc.), stopping before Harriet's Dinner Part I. So I've got to watch that Sunday night to get all my viewing caught up.

Anyway, it's clear that the decision has been made to use the two troubled relationships, not the comedy show, as the real fulcrum of Studio 60, with the NBS backroom stuff thrown in on the side. Depending on what happens with Tom and Lucy, we wind up with three dysfunctional romances.

And another thing ... is Sorkin setting things up to resolve the Harriet-and-gays storyline by having Simon turn out to be both gay and her biggest defender?

Also, I like Mark McKinney-on-lithium. He could start stealing some of those psycho roles that Robin Williams specialized in for a little while (One Hour Photo, Insomnia, etc.)

I turned it off last night at about 10:30. I'll never turn it back on.
    Studio. 60. Sucks.

While I still think they should get the full season to make this work, I am not enjoying this show like I thought I would.

  12. Oh, and next week, we see how Matt and Harry meet.
    What fun.
    I'm rooting for the snake.
