Running Studio 60 thread (spoilers)

I've never understood the popularity of CSI: Miami. Such a poor man's and women's version CSI: Las Vegas.

 

I finally caught up with this show this week on DVR.....
I really enjoy it and hope it doesn't get canned (although it doesn't sound good from some of the stuff posted around here).
I think it might be more successful if it was a little less Matt-Harriet and more inner workings of the show... sure, there have been sub-plots, but I feel like I've been beaten over the head with that particular romance, to the point I almost don't care. And that's not a good thing, especially considering I'm going out of my way to give this show a chance. Most of America probably isn't that forgiving.

 

There's something people might be missing about the show going on hiatus right now.

They might be doing this so that Peet can have her baby and get back in playing shape.

 

I'm not sure about that...... her baby is part of the storyline with Danny now, right?
Although they could surely "fake" her pregnancy for the show - dozens of shows have done that.

 

Just watched the show, was pretty good, though not near as great as last week's. For some reason, I thought Matt's convo with the lawyer was another one of his drug-addled hallucinations.

And Suzanne, Matt's assistant, reminds me of a younger Mrs. Landingham more and more with each episode.

This show is too good for it to be canceled, ratings be damned.

 

I believe the four remaining episodes have already been shot.

 

I think it has five shows left, since the Black Donnellys is coming on a week earlier than expected.

 

So is there still no word on when it will air?

Only in television do you just pull a struggling series without telling anyone when you'll run it again. I mean, if enough people hadn't tuned out already, isn't doing this effectively killing the show?

 

Well, I started Monday's episode this afternoon and liked the start of it.

I'll finish it tomorrow.
