You call a few draws -- or more than one running play per quarter -- and the defense has to at least respect it. Yea, you might get a 4-yard loss. But you might hit a seam and spring Maroney into the secondary.

At the least, you get that front four/seven thinking about the run. They didn't respect it last night, in part because the Pats abandoned it, as they have for much of the season.

And the Pats didn't get any breaks of their own? Like their 1st TD coming off a pass interference call that gave em the ball on the goal line, or the 12 men on the field penalty that had no absolutely no effect on the actual play. It could just as easily be said that Giants could've won by more if not for some penalties and breaks that went the Pats way.

But my point was not that the Giant got no breaks, both teams did, pretty much every team does in every game. But breaks were certainly not the difference maker in this game. The difference-maker was Giants outplaying Pats on both sides of the ball.

    Eli converted 3 3rd downs, 3rd & 10, 3rd & 5(The Escape) and 3rd & 11, all passes, in the final TD Drive.

If only we would've listened to Carl -- could've made some money, just not against the spread.

Yeah, we haven't talked about that yet.

So when does the Boston media run Moss out of town and to another team?

Do we have an over/under on that?

For those who were so desperate for Hoodie to be asked about leaving the field early, he eventually was. This is from Mark Purdy's column in the San Jose Mercury News:

When asked why he had not stayed around, Belichick mustered his usual stone face, and said: "We did. They won the game."

    Happy?

Did Purdy ask him when he's going to release Gostkowski?

The follow up should have been if he knows what Joe Pisarcik and Herman Edwards have in common.

Somehow I don't think Coughlin or Manning would've been dumb enough to try to hand off on that final play. That was the single dumbest call in coaching history, it'll never be repeated.

Is someone actually arguing here that the Pats lost due to a few bad breaks? Cry me a river. Had it not been for a pass that went through the hands of a Giants receiver, the game would have been 24-14. And that's not counting what might have transpired had the Giants two other failed red zone opportunities brought them more than an opening field goal.

By the way, as we discuss who deserved the MVP, let's remember that the Giants orchestrated a 10-minute opening drive that completely set the tone for the game. That was huge.
