The dawning of Brady, the entitlement of Patriots fans, insufferability of all of them. It all goes back to Mo Lewis and a shorn blood vessel.

They were so listless and boring in 2000 that the Bledsoe Patriots would have been playing for Belichick's job in '01, though Kraft would probably never admit that.

    Some of my notes....

    ---------------
The Giants have been in four Super Bowls, winning three.

They have trailed after halftime in all four.

    ---------------

Scoring in the first quarter (QBs who have played in at least four SBs)
    Montana's 49ers, 4 games, 30 points (7.5 points per 1st quarter)
    Elway's Broncos, 5, 37 (7.4)
    Staubach's Cowboys, 4, 27 (6.8)
    Bradshaw's Steelers, 4, 17 (4.3)
    Brady's Patriots, 4, 0 (0.0)

    ---------------

Sunday was the eighth and ninth times in the Super Bowl that a fourth-quarter deficit of at least four points had been erased by a touchdown:

The latest in the 4th quarter a game has been tied by a touchdown
Time, Game, Team, Play, Score before play
1:08 left, XXXVIII, Carolina, Proehl 12 pass from Delhomme, 29-22 Patriots
1:30, XXXVI, St. Louis, Proehl 26 pass from Warner, 17-10 Patriots
    7:35, V, Baltimore, Nowatzke 2 run, 13-6 Cowboys
13:32, XXXII, Green Bay, Freeman 13 pass from Favre, 24-17 Broncos
14:03, XXIII, San Francisco, Rice 14 pass from Montana, 13-6 Bengals

The latest in the fourth quarter a team has turned a 4-to-6-point deficit into a lead
0:35, XLII, New York Giants, Burress 13 pass from Manning, 14-10 Patriots
10:01, XVII, Washington, Riggins 43 run, 17-13 Dolphins
11:05, XLII, New York Giants, Tyree 5 pass from Manning, 7-3 Patriots
14:52, XXV, Buffalo, Thomas 31 run, 17-12 Giants

Kevin Dockery, R.W. McQuarters and Sam Madison received a standing ovation at MSG tonight. Parade starts tomorrow at 10:30 A.M. I do hope BostonBred made the trip down for it.
