UNC is settling for jumpers too often, but a lot of that has to do with the tough defense inside.

Well, Green got bumped into the travel. If you refuse to call a foul in the final seconds, you probably shouldn't call the travel it causes.

If it's any consolation, Vandy shot six free throws in the final 1:36 while the Hoyas' 7-footer was out of the game with five fouls -- including two that were utterly ridiculous.

I had no idea that USC was this good. Or is this a recent surge?

Don't ask Billy Packer. This is the first time he's seen USC. He's amazed.

Some of the best 20 minutes of USC basketball I've ever seen.

One of the things I've never seen in my sports lifetime is USC in the Final 4.

I unfortunately expected them to be this good. This is no surprise, I just hope UNC can chip away in the second half and wear USC down with their depth.

Unless there's organization, 2-3 seconds is not enough time to produce a decent shot. With 10 seconds, the no TO thing can work. With as little time as Vandy had, to not call timeout was pure choking.

If Hansbrough and Lawson don't get going, the Tar Heels are in real trouble.

Not a whole lot of USC fans outside of LA.

I'm 35. I don't think they've been there in that long, at least. Back when it was 32 teams, USC was always very good, but always No. 2 in the Pac-10 behind UCLA and only the champion went to the tournament.
