I think you've got this wrong; they granted him an exemption on the basis of what he represented was true, now the Govt. is just saying verify what you stated was the basis for your exemption. On that note, I think Djoker has failed to substantiate what he was saying; hence DENIED.

I applaud AUS for making someone live up to what they said was supposedly true. (and I used to be a Djoker fan).

No, I didn't have it wrong. The state government gave him an exemption on needing to be vaccinated. The border authority, which is controlled Federally, wouldn't accept the state government's exemption.

If more countries took Covid as seriously as Australia, this whole thing would probably be in our rear view mirror.

I've enjoyed watching some of the live run-up to the Aussie Open on Tennis Channel. Caught a good Rogers-Sakkari match the other night.

He also said it was not uncommon for people to be turned away upon landing in Australia, because immigration officials assess visa compliance upon arrival rather than prior to entry.

Fun fact, it seems his entire traveling team was vaccinated except for him and were allowed into the country.

If more countries were affluent isolated island continents, this whole thing would probably be in our rear view mirror.

You could drop the denizens of the southern-fried, peckerwood maga red states right on the isle of Malta and the vaccination rates aren't going to be any higher.

Barty-Kenin should be interesting. Good chance to see if Kenin is finally back at top form.
