Medvedev dropped to the opening set today to a qualifier.

Medvedev is fortunate to still have a chance to win this match; should have lost the second set, too, and he’s been broken twice in the fourth.

Looks like he's about to get bounced.

Seems he's reverted to his old form at Roland Garros -- he didn't win a single match there until 2021. Got beat in the first round in his first four appearances.

Ugh. His opponent is an alleged woman abuser.

Out-of-nowhere 2021 U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu, who famously dumped her coach after her title to work with someone "with more experience at high levels," dumped another one today and now has gone through five coaches in two years.

She's cute as hell and I want to like her, but fuck this nonsense.

Received a great gift yesterday: THE TENNIS CHANNEL HAS RETURNED TO YOUTUBE TV!!!

So just watched Lorenzo Sonego finish off Rublev in five after a huge comeback from a two sets to love deficit that included getting bageled in the second.

The other high seed to fall today is Pegula, who was crushed by Elise Mertens 6-1, 6-3.

Does the deal extend to the RSNs? Same owner.

I have no idea. I just started flipping channels on YouTube TV last night, and there it was.

I need to make a clarification, however. Apparently, it’s not The Tennis Channel, it’s T2, a secondary channel that I never knew existed until today. So, for example, while I was watching Sonego beat Rublev, the main Tennis Channel was showing the Djokovic match.

I suspect I won’t be getting that much live tennis other than the majors, but it’s better than what I had before.

Swiatek just put up a double bagel. In the third round of a major.

Steffi, er, Stefanie says call me next week.

At least Swiatek's opponent won four more points (17) than Zvereva did.
Greatest single season in women's tennis history.
