  1. What, seven weeks to Augusta? Odds he tries to play? 50-50?

He'll play Augusta. A cycle is usually about 6 weeks.

The time frame is irrelevant. He is only playing Augusta if he gets rid of his myriad of problems. He isn't going to go to the Masters if he's playing like he did in Phoenix and Torrey Pines; doesn't matter if its next week or the Labor Day weekend.

He may not ever be back.

I agree he won't play the Masters. yet I also know the Tiger Woods ego and his obsession with Majors.

Exactly. If he only plays four times the rest of the year, it'll be the majors. He might ask to play Augusta from the members' tees, but he'll be there.

Sure he wants to win majors and its brutal to give up a shot at the Masters but jeez with that short game there's no way he even posts a 75 let alone contend.

I can't imagine he'll play the Masters unless there is a major turnaround in his health and his game. He would completely embarrass himself out there if he went out playing the way he did at Torrey Pines. And THAT would be the end, if we haven't already seen it. I am inching closer to believing he might call it a career. But I would imagine with his ego and the chance to further his legacy on the line, it's going to take some time to make that decision.
