    Interesting how SI/golf.com is giving love to Shipnuck's stuff. That Perez story was cool but kind of a surprise to me to see it in the print SI as a standalone feature.

    He also got an hour-long podcast with Phil, who hasn't sat for a long one-on-one interview in years.

    I'm starting to think Tiger will never contend again. Not just in majors. In any tournament. He may be too broken.

    I think it is time to move the dialogue from "can Tiger contend" to "will Tiger ever play." I know he's stubborn as a 40-mule team, but there comes a point where even the most competitive athlete recognizes a career-ending series of injuries for what it is.

    He'll probably try for another five years though, if only in an attempt to prove Dan Jenkins' bad back/bad marriage prediction wrong.
