Daaang. I love hockey games but don't really think I'm that good at them. I'd be all over this idea if I wasn't about to drop $60 on MLB2K9..

Alright, I sent invites to Hank and Wallace, but it wouldn't let me invite Hustle, Jake or Storm. No idea why. The team's made, though.

  3. I'll play in the NHL 09 league. My created character is an offensive defenseman. My gamertag is: Bristol Whipped.
Yes, my gamertag is shamelessly stolen from the username of the person on this site.

Madhavok, post about MLB 2K9 when you get it, I am wondering if it is worth getting.

Sounds good Ross. I haven't had a baseball game since MVP '05 which was the best I've played.

Even after 11 seasons on MLB The Show: 2007, I am STILL addicted. It is such a fantastic game and I just don't seem to get bored with it, even though I'm dominating.

I played 10 seasons with the Astros, very quickly becoming the ace starter and the most dominant pitcher in the game. 10 Cy Youngs, 10 seasons of 20+ wins, more than 2,500 strikeouts and close to 250 career victories. In addition, my career batting and baserunning are off the hook: 37 home runs, 173 RBIs, .357 BA, 65 SBs.

But after helping the 'Stros win six World Series titles in 10 years, the best offer they gave me was 6 years, $10M. Screw that.

So I left the Astros and signed a 2-year, $40M deal with the D-Backs at the request of my son.

Give me another 7 or 8 seasons and I'll retire as one of the most dominating pitchers of all time.

Wow. Talk about getting fucking lowballed.

    Bad unrealism: lowball offer
Good unrealism: allowing you to have a ridiculously dominant career

Well, as time has gone on I've reset the sliders and difficulty to make it more and more challenging. But after a while, if your player has maxed out his training in virtually every respect, he's going to be dominant.

Like I said before I just got my Xbox yesterday. I played one game of NCAA football 09 last night and realized that it is way harder than the PS2 version. Granted I am using a shitty team, UNLV, but I couldn't run the ball for shit. My passing was on point, but I ran 23 times for a total of 109 yards. Not the kind of effort I am used to.
