I'm always down for a game of CivRev. Like Hank said, I have some buddies that would love to join.

It's a blast. Earning all of those achievements was a lot of fun.

Send me a FR when you have a chance.

I just got the XBox 360 this week. I'm going to enjoy not having a life for the next few weeks.

Will definitely do. The bummer is that I probably won't have time to do much until next week (out of town this weekend). But I'm really looking forward to checking out the multiplayer.

It took me a little while to get into the story, but once things start picking up, they REALLY pick up. I've beaten all the GTA games dating back to GTA III, and this one was as fun as any of them. I haven't gotten the Lost and Damned add-on yet, but I've heard good things.

OK...I really need some MLB 2007 The Show help here....

My pitcher is one of the best fielders in the league, but he never seems to earn any "innings." By that, I mean from a defensive standpoint. How exactly is a defensive inning (or partial inning) determined? I should be winning Gold Gloves with this guy but I'm not in the running.

Three observations based on the week or so I have had my XBox.

    1) Madden gets way harder as the season goes on. I was winning with relative ease for my first six games with the Seahawks. I was 5-1 and my one loss was cause I missed a FG in the closing seconds against the Giants. Over my last 8 games I am 6-2. with losses to Dallas and New England. I love that I actually lose games, it makes it way more fun.

    2) Recruting on NCAA Football 09 is the most time consuming thing ever, but still very fun. I finished my second season with UNLV 13-0 with a win in the Sugar Bowl and was getting a solid class. So on a whim I went after the 5th ranked QB in the nation. After two weeks of him going from no interest to 6th on his list, he signed. Very cool to go in at the last minute and snag a good player.

    3) GTA IV is awesome.

That's one thing I've always hated about NCAA football games, Ross. After two or three seasons, no matter what program you're at, you're suddenly able to recruit the top players in the country. You could be at Alabama A&M, throw yourself into the Sun Belt, find a way to win that shitty conference's title once or twice, and all of the sudden the top quarterback and running back in the country will both sign with you. It just makes the game too easy.

He was by far the best player I got in my first two classes. In my first year I had no one over three stars and my second I had one four star guy four three star guys and the rest were very average players. Still have yet to get a five star player. Apparently the 5th best qb in the country only rates four stars, which was kind of odd.

In my experience I have had three to four years of very average classes and then after I get the prestige level up I get better players.

Yeah, that's the way it usually goes. It's usually year four or five when the recruiting gets easy. It's just always bugged me that schools from the Sun Belt, C-USA, etc. can start rolling over stacked SEC teams both on and off the field after just a few seasons.

I use a MWC school and my fourth or fifth season is usually when I get offered a spot in the Pac-10 and that is when the good recruits start toi come in. The only MWC school in the top 25 annually for recruiting is BYU.

    True story:

I am listening to the Rockets game the other night, while taking a bubble bath. So I have the TV turned up loud since I am the only one home so that I can hear it in the bathroom. The dog is running lose in the living room. Apparently, the noise of the TV bothered her to the point that she tries to jump up to reach the TV. In the process, she hits the eject button on the Wii. And then manages to pull the Wii Sports disc out of the console. And then proceeds to chew it.

So now, I have no Wii Sports to play and I can hardly stand it.

    Just so you know.
