When there's a game I want, I empty my queue and only leave that game in there.

Another bonus to Gamefly is the prices to keep the games. I can keep Tiger for $44, before I save 10% and apply any coupons I've earned. Not bad for a game that sells for $59.99 at retail.

I'm online ... but I've heard the Show online gameplay is kinda choppy. I owe dignan a game first anyway if I ever do decide to venture away from my franchise.

Also, Dear MLB 09 The Show:

Just because Dustin Pedroia is your cover boy, it doesn't mean he has to hit a fucking home run every time he comes to the fucking plate.

If I had the money, I'd be splurging and getting a 360 or PS3 -- whichever is cheaper -- just for this game. Holy cow, it looks amazing.

The only game releases I ever get excited for are NCAA and Madden. Once I get my HDTV all will be well.

As long as they get the unis for my team right.

Biased opinion here, since I don't have a PS3 (yet, but probably never), go with a 360 so you can join in Hank's amazing SportsJournalists.com online dynasty.

Check Craiglist for slightly used PS3s and XBox 360s. Lots of people in this economy need some scratch and are selling them at decent prices.

Okay, I picked them both up today to take advantage of the $20 Target gift card.

I'm thinking I didn't install my Wii Motion Plus right because I just got smoked in all the Australian Open exhibitions. I was swinging & missing, my character wasn't moving in the right spots, it was ridiculous. It was probably the wrong game to play after the incredibly shitty day I had today because I wanted to break the closest thing to me. The few times I hit the ball where I wanted to, it was ruled out even though it looked like it hit the line.

Hopefully things will work out a little better after I have some time to simmer down.

I did register online. I should be StormSurge.

The game does have a long learning curve, so don't expect to be good right away. Also, use the nunchuck to move your character around. Far better for placing the shot where you want.

Unfortunately I'm on vacation for a week here, but I'll add you to my buddy list in the game.

Seconded. We even have our own newspaper online news site. That's a sad story for another day.

I tried the practice court (because the game defaults to it when you first start), then started the Grand Slams. I got killed at the Australian and French, but am in the finals of Wimbledon (beat a no name in the first round, Nadal in the second, and Edberg? in the semi's. I have Borg in the finals.) It can be EXTREMELY frustrating; I probably averaged 35 for 40 unforced errors a match. My last two matches I've managed to keep it under 20. I don't use motion plus, but will probably get it with Tiger Woods at some point.

Overall, awesome game. Hopefully I'll want to keep playing after I beat all the Grand Slams...
