Am I the only one who's found MLB '07 The Show to be goddamn near impossible?

  2. I've never played any version of that game, so I wouldn't know. But all these glowing reviews for 2K7 makes me want to go out and buy it. Last year's offering absolutely sucked, but I've heard nothing but good things about this version.

I bought MLB 07: the Show on Saturday, and I'm looking forward to playing it. I played the demo. I may get 2K7 for the achievement points, so it's not outside the question. I'll tell everyone what I think about "the Show" sometime soon.

It isn't the easiest game, but it plays great. You have to be patient to draw a walk, you really have to work a hitter, etc. Fielding = very tough.

    Yes it will, SS.

This game is an absolute time-killer. I still can't get past beginner stage on some of the songs, never mind the intermediate stage, when you start to get paid, rack up points, etc.

Don't know if it's been discussed or not, but MVP 07 is fantastic. The analog hitting and pitching is great, though I can't seem to pull the ball with power. 95 percent of the homers I hit are to the opposite field.

I love the fact that I "earned" an achievement for failing a song on Easy. :) I actually did okay on my first two songs ("Surrender" & "Possum Kingdom") but "Heart Shaped Box" kicked my ass. I need to practice more.

I'm currently in an online NBA2K7 league which is taking up all of my time. The league itself is cool (the website 2K Sports generates is fantastic), but I suck & I need to make up a ton of games that the previous owner didn't play. I think I need to quit. It's more stressful than my job. Then I can work on my faux guitar playing.

I played my first full game last night & the graphics are amazing. Not only that, but in the 8th inning, I was served a video highlight package before a Jason Bay at-bat, showing me the homer hit off me earlier in the game & the home run he took away from me in the field the inning prior. I was impressed.

OK, I traded in my copy of MLB 07: The Show. I got frustrated quick, and I figured I wanted the achievement points more, so I bought MLB 2K7 and I love it. Stormsurge, your sig rocks. How could I get something like that?

  10. I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but I love 2k7 but at this point, it's too easy. I've played approx. 60 games of a 162 season (yes, I have no life) with the Orioles and Tejada already has 40-plus homers. I've dropped the settings down to almost zero on power and amped up the CPU's ability to pitch. I love playing it. It looks fantastic. But if it doesn't get harder, I might actually trade it in.

  11. Wanted to revive this thread, especially with all the new 360 games coming out and I know there are more than a few of us who have the 360. Anybody playing BioShock. I've been working on The Bigs, which has turned out to be a fun game to play.

Bioshock is an amazing game. I have to admit that the first time I heard about it was you mentioning it here in another thread. This is easily one of the best games I have ever played & I've played a few over the past 26 years. Download the demo if you haven't yet. All the hype is not unwarranted.
