Running video games (and consoles) thread

Bioshock is the most disquieting, dystopian video game I've ever played. Not even mean-spirited (in a fun way) like GTA, but just really fucking dark. At some point you are presented the choice of harvesting a simpering, cowering young child or offering her your aid, and the thing is there's no extrinsic value to helping her.

 

Ah, but that's what you think at the onset, Lee. If you help them, they end up leaving you items along the way.

 

I LOVE Bioshock. In fact, that reminds me I need to play it again to pick up some of the achievements I missed on the first go round.

That's a great game.

 

To give a minor spoiler, I'm pretty sure your choices have a huge effect on the endgame.

We're totally hooked on this game.

They're making a 'sequel' set to come out in January.

Haha, shoot. I misread earlier where I took it to mean Hank and Mad were definitely going to get the game...

I could've sworn there was at least one other person, though.

I'll have the game, just not sure how soon. I've heard the game online isn't as good as it is offline in regards to game speed and such. EA slowed down the speed but didn't change it for online play. Plus, this online franchise seems to be missing quite a few things to make it worthwhile.
