Doesn't EA send out weekly updates that adjust ratings?

Yes, but if you began a franchise when you bought the game, you're fucked. Part of the enjoyment of these games is customizing ratings and rosters. They couldn't put Vick and Favre in the free agent pool (just in case), but for whatever absurd reason Ty Law and Aaron Glenn are. Just populating the FA list with more players would have done this game a world of good.

Apparently the patch came out today. I understand Wembley Stadium is 'in the game' as is the Rogers Centre. Plus a new broadcast angle.

That was my main thing when I finally played it last night. I like the idea of lower ratings, but my god are some of these players low. There are quarterbacks with ratings in the 50's. In 09 Brian Brohm was like a 75 and I trained him into a 92 in just over two seasons. I found out he was near a 52 or something. Freddie Jackson of the Bills has a speed rating of 87? Are you fucking kidding me? Overall I wasn't impressed with the game. Maybe it'll grow on me.

We did a fantasy draft last night and I enjoyed the fact of how difficult it was to find some starters and backups. In previous seasons we were bumming about putting players with 81 or 83 as starters. This year we were stoked. A lot of players have seemed to drop off.

I actually like the adjusted ratings. I was having fun playing with 59-rated Tom Brandstater when I yanked both Orton and Simms. He threw for like 350 yards.

And it's much, much harder to trade. Not that I have a problem with that, but are you trying to tell me no GM/owner is going to take a first, second, and a third for your 95-rated DT or WR? Overall it might be better because after two seasons our teams were around 93 or 94-rated in our fantasy drafted franchises.

I hope to play more of it but it doesn't seem as smooth as NCAA for some reason.

Thought this was a fitting place for this:

Does anyone play Battlefield Heroes? My roommate got me addicted to it and I'm definitely a fan.

The Lions have nine guys on the default roster rated 65 or under.

  10. Sorry if I missed this, but is any one trying to get a Madden online franchise league going?

For 360, yes, StormSurge is trying to set it up. Do you have an Xbox?

  12. Yes, my gamertag is ChiTown Bandit. I think I told StormSurge in August I wanted in. How many people are in the league right now?
