2K always made a superior college basketball product, too. Just much better, more realistic gameplay. I was sad to see them stop making college hoops games.

That pissed me off no end. The 2K college hoops product was awesome, so much fun to play.

I'm setting it up now with the settings you suggested awhile ago. (15 minute quarters with the 25 second runoff.) I also went with the fantasy draft to see how that goes. If it's too much, we'll just restart.

Persia, you need to activate your Online Franchise using the code on the back of your instruction manual.

Since the Bears & Broncos have been taken, the remaining two teams must come from the AFC West & NFC North. I took the Chargers, so Persia, you're stuck in Jake's division. :)

Speaking of, if you're prompted for the password, it's "bowtojake".

If anyone else wants in, let me know.

Haha, nice password. Oh, and I've been messing around with the settings, could you do 11 minute quarters with a 15-second runoff? The games are just as realistic and don't take as long.

So you guys are basically ready to go on this? I played Madden for an extended period of time on my friend's PS3 and it's starting to grow on me for sure. But, I think I'll be passing on this opportunity. fuck.

And I either haven't been able to find the invite or haven't gotten one (storm pmed me a bit ago for the gamertag don't know if he's had a chance to send it out yet). Also, why do we have to pay to download the online dynasty? Lame.

Don't be so quick to dump on NBA Live this year.

EA hired Mike Wang to be the lead developer for the game. His previous gig was a three-year stint developing the 2K series. Here's a little more about him:

This is the first year he's running the ship on Live, and the difference is noticeable if you've played the demo. The revamped passing system, in particular, has caught my eye. There's an option now where you can hold down the left trigger and flick the right stick in the direction of the guy you want to pass to. Doesn't sound like a big deal until you realize you can now drive to the hoop and throw a no-looker to a guy in the corner without breaking your stride.

I know I'm coming across as an EA honk here, but trust me, this is not the same old Live game. Download the demo and see for yourself.

You shouldn't have to. Just use the code on the back of your box. He did send the invites out, you just have to put the code in before you can get to it.

Still won't get me to buy it. I will get NCAA and Madden, but other than that I don't purchase EA Sports titles.
