Running video games (and consoles) thread

How does the over time thing work? Similar to the offseason in NCAA?

 

Just picked up Madden yesterday. Disappointed with it so far, apparently whoever does the ratings thinks that the vast majority of players in the league are very average. There are hardly any great players and the speed ratings are ridiculous, so many players are slow as hell.

Just bought an XBox 360 and Left 4 Dead. Needed to get the XBox so I can play anything Valve puts out. I feel so dirty.

 

Good call on the purchase. Now you need to get NCAA 10, so you can join the NCAA Online Dynasty.


Your 360 should likely have the newest chipset, Jasper, which greatly reduces RROD problems.

 

It better, that was the biggest reason I didn't want one in the first place. I have to wait a while before I get NCAA 10, I have to get used to the controls first. Very different then PS for sure.

 

Yeah, slightly. I go back and forth between NCAA 10 on the 360 and Madden 10 on the PS3 and haven't had much issues. Tho, I am a video game junkie.

 

Did 2K lose the NCAA license to make a college bb game? I know they didn't come out with one last year.

 

I think so. I bought last year's game, which wasn't bad, but it wasn't at the level of the 2K series. I'm not buying this one ... I'm either going with NBA 2K10 or NHL 10 ... haven't decided yet.

 

NHL 10, Cosmo. That series has been the best sports series in the last 3-4 years.

 

I'd put FIFA neck-and-neck with it.
