    InFamous is brutally good.

OH, and I picked up Battlefield 1943 on the PS3 network. Those of you that said it was good, thanks. I've found another hit game I love!

And I have it! Though it's been quite some time since I've had a soccer title (unless you count Real Soccer 09 for the iPod touch/iPhone, which I do not), so it's hard to draw comparisons.

The menu system needs a tweak. I wanted to take over a team and play it for a few seasons, but to do that, I had to go into Manager Mode (which in most games means you don't play the games). In this one, you can. But I'm pretty ignorant of the art of transfers and I didn't really want to have to deal with that, and now I have to. I'm using Tottenham Hotspur and went 3-1-0 in preseason friendlies (wins against Burnley, Juventus and Racing, draw at Fulham after going down 2-0 12 minutes in), and I'm 2-0-1 in the regular season (2-1 wins against Burnley and @ Blackburn, 1-0 loss @ Liverpool). Schedules aren't right, though I guess it's not that big a deal.

Is paying 400 points for Live Season updates for one league or 800 for all six worth the effort? I'm not a big fan of buying content, but I'd splurge for the right reasons (playing at a real White Hart Lane would be nice, for starters). I might spend 80 points to get Hungarian commentary, just because.

Game flows nicely, though it's prone to slowdowns in the transfer updates and occasionally in other spots. Most of my goals have been sending someone down to hit them with a through ball and having them beat the keeper 1-on-1, or else getting a header off a cross or corner. Once I scored on a free kick.

I'm still growing into the game, but so far I dig it.

I might have to, it may take a while. I have to work through Borderlands first, that is going to occupy my time. Well, that and the Fallout DLC on PS3 I haven't battled through yet. I wish I was getting paid for playing these games.

Most people have time to play their NCAA game and other games as well. We're fairly laid back and don't advance every day like some online leagues.

Usually takes 3-4 days between weeks.

Hank, I'm not most people har-har. Let's put it this way, I got so into Battlefield: Bad Company that I finished it in three sittings over five days, and that had a trip to Dallas to cover OU-Texas in the middle of that.
I'll eventually get it and get in. Count on it.

Share more about inFamous? When I first saw a commercial for it, I was really interested. It seems all the negative reviews I've skimmed through complain about the lack of powers you can use or something small and silly like that. I assume you think it's worthwhile to pick up?

It's worth it for the arcing story lines on both the good and evil sides. It's like Fable meets GTA. Will post more later.

Just tapped the first four hours of Borderlands, boy is it fun! The style is a cartoon-like style that is a nice change of pace from the gritty realism that I have been playing on lately. The interface is great, with the controls being pretty darn solid. The best part are the characters and the guns. The characters are memorable so far with a lot of color, while there are so many guns that it is awesome. As an example, I had a plywood (yes plywood) sniper rifle. Thought it would explode, but it's pretty awesome. I found another plywood rifle, and then had to doubletake to see that they were different, cause they had very different stocks. It may not have done anything different to the effects of the gun, but it was pretty cool.
More on that as I progress, it's worth the buy.

PS3 and Madden just shipped ... should have them by Wednesday. Pretty excited to give it a test run.

I've played two FIFA 10 matches so far. The visuals are breathtaking for a sports game. Player movements are much more lifelike too.

I played a quick start game on Legendary difficulty. Holy Pele, it was much tougher than FIFA 09's legendary setting. I could barely string together two or three passes. On 09, I was winning 3-0, 4-1 regularly on that setting.

Dag & Red have a long way to go from Colaship 2 to the EPL, but a 1-0 win in the first match was a good start. But I had to drop down off legendary to play it.
