Anybody playing NBA Live 10? Two straight days now, I've tried to play with the Cavs and Antawn Jamison is MIA. Ilgauskas is on the Wizards and Sebastian Telfair is on the Cavs' inactive list, so the trade went through, but Jamison is nowhere to be found. WTF?

MLB10 The Show is out of this world.

There are parts where it simply doesn't look like a video game.

Wow, that's insane. Did they animate individual fans? That was probably my biggest graphic gripe with 09 (and admittedly it's a very nitpicky one) - that they just had several fan types that they scattered throughout the stadium. Which isn't too bad, and it's an improvement from fans in other games, but they mapped the same fans with the same animations, which got kind of annoying when I was, say, on second base and looking at the fans behind home plate. All of a sudden, several fans in matching white shirts in random places would stand up and wave their arms in unison. It was bizarre-looking.

BigCircus, from what I've read they've re-engineered that. The fan clones were easy to spot. (Also, every woman in the front row behind home plate had ginormous bosoms.) The biggest thing they've done that you don't see in that video is fielders don't run through each other, ghostlike, as they have. New plate collision physics and lighting for afternoon games -- shadows will start to creep instead of it being bright midday sun for nine innings. Improved umpire personalities, they will gather for instant replay on questionable home runs. The game is balls.

If these guys did Madden instead of EA, that would actually be playable again. They just can't get the announcing right.

Wow. That makes me wish I had a PS3 instead of a 360.

Has anyone seen those commercials for MLB 2K10? Evidently if you pitch the first perfect game, you win $1,000,000. I don't know how they are going to be able to tell, but it sounds cool.

    Anyone here play The Saboteur?

Sounds interesting. You're a member of the French Resistance in German-occupied France. It's a sandbox-type game, similar to a GTA, I believe.

I have not heard of that. It does sound cool.

    IGN rated it a 7.5.

I had heard good things about it and saw it was on sale at Best Buy for $40. So I picked it up.

Haven't had a chance to play it yet though. I don't normally buy a game without at least playing it once, but I gambled on this one, since I had heard a lot of good things.

We're still more than a month from EA's World Cup game being released, but I found out it will have full qualification. Take one of 199 teams and run it through your confederation's qualifying matches, then head to South Africa with it.
