I liked the version that came out last year and I really wouldn't classify myself as a MMA fan. It was just a good fighting game.

See, that's the other side of the coin. I've never played 2009 so I figured I could just pick that one up for pretty cheap once '10 comes out. I hear the gameplay is ridiculously different but it seems easy enough to figure out quickly.

From what I've read, 10 is more fluid. In 09, you'd try to make a move (especially in grappling) and there'd be a noticeable pause from when you, say, mashed the button and the avatar responded with the move.

It got to the point that I quit trying to grapple at all because of it. Instead, I'd wind up KOing opponents with roundhouse kicks to the head.

Regarding your sell-back plan, I have done this in the past and generally made back about 60 to 80 percent of the purchase price, as long as you do it within two weeks. One question that you've probably answered at some point in the previous 88 pages - Do you have GameFly? I know they're pretty good with sending new games to me, and it's easy to "trick" them into sending you exactly what you want by removing everything else from your queue.

I don't have Gamefly. I've got Netflix and barely keep up with that as it is. I'm thinking about getting GameFly though as it seems I've had a bigger interest in games recently.

  6. Does the Elite come with HDMI cables or am I going to have to buy my own?

It comes with HDMI cables. If you ever need anymore, just get them online for $3-8.

As for the hard drive issue, I have the 'Pro' which is the 60 gigger and I think I've used only 4-6 gigs of memory. But I do not download the game to my HD and play it off of that. Not sure if anyone is into that, but the system does run quite a bit softer.

Mine did NOT come with HDMI cables, but they are worth it. (At least not ones that have optical audio output)

I also save games to the hard drive. Big difference.

I stand corrected, apparently MS quit shipping the elite with cables - well, according to the internet anyway.

I'm going to save MW2 to my HD since I play it everyday and am pretty sick of the jet engine noise coming from the system.

  10. I have to say I'm having quite the gaming dilemma right now.

I've just about settled on which HDTV I'm purchasing. So I thought, you know what would complete it? A Blu-ray player. Even better, a PS3 Slim. But I'm not sure I have the time for another console and the games that would go with it.

So I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade my 20GB Xbox to an Elite or go with the PS3 so I can get the most out of the new TV and start building a Blu-ray collection.

You could always get stand-alone DVD player cheaper. :)

That's what I was thinking. Unless you're itching for some PS3-only games..
