I do like the idea of having a Blu-ray player that also plays games. I don't have that much interest in playing online, although that may be because the 2 or 3 times I have, I was quite bad at it. I don't care about 3D even a little. I really am just a casual game guy. it might go a month without me turning it on. Now that E3 is just about over, does anyone see any price reductions coming? I know Microsoft showed the new 360. will the other model be discontinued, or sold for less?

The current Xbox's are $50 off while supplies last. Clearing inventory for the new ones.

I don't see the PS3 dropping any time soon. They have stuck pretty solid to that price point, and I don't see them going anywhere with it. The biggest thing I saw price-wise come out of E3 was that Playstation Move only games would be at the price point of Wii games, or 39.99. A normal PS game will run you at least 59.99 so it was interesting to see PS go to the Wii's price point to try and steal that demo.

Hank, was Fable any good? I have been wondering since I got the XBox. Personally, I don't think I will be getting it, but it has such a following I feel I'm missing out. Also, did you see the New Vegas stuff? Love every second of the trailer.

I liked Fable 2 a lot. It's no Fallout 3, but still very entertaining.

  7. Despite all of the changes in the college football landscape, I'm guessing NCAA Football 11 won't show those changes? Has anyone read anything on that?

And if the changes aren't in the game, is it even worth buying this year's if you only buy the game every few years?

They need to have an option to let you form your own conference. Except, unlike in years past, put in however many teams you want instead of limiting it to the existing number.
There should also be an offseason minigame for players who use Pac-10 or Big Ten teams, wherein you start off recruiting Notre Dame and end up dismantling half the conferences in the country.

Just read a few articles about Civ V. It sounds pretty cool.
They went from a square grid to hex-grid, and you can only have one unit per hex, which means no stacks of doom anymore. Also, units like archers and catapults can now attack from range. Should make combat more exciting. Anyway, two articles about it:

    Two things:

    1. Fallout: New Vegas coming this fall. Niiice.

    2. Still love playing this World Cup game. My Wales qualifying campaign was a success, as we got through in a two-legged playoff with Serbia. Drawn into a group with Brazil, Ecuador and Costa Rica ... drew with Brazil won the other two, got Holland in the knockout stage, led 1-0 with about nine minutes left in extra time, blew the lead, then lost in PKs. Ugh. Still, a knockout stage appearance for the Welsh is nothing to scoff at.

Moving on to trying to qualify in Africa. Djibouti open with a thrilling 2-1 win at Malawi. Egypt is next. I fear this could get ugly. I'm pretty good at the game, but Djibouti is the second-to-last ranked team in the world. But it's Djibouti. I had to try.

What else is coming out ? I know NCAA football 11 and Madden are pretty much the big names in terms of sporting games dropping this summer. The new CoD comes out on 11/11 but I'm not sure how good it'll be compared to MW2.

I really don't see anything that screams, 'Madhavok, buy me!'. Probably just NCAA for now.

For real, Mad. NCAA '11 is awesome. I'm not so sure about the new CoD, too. It's Activision's turn to make the game, right?
