Yeah, but no online Jake. I'm hoping they release a full version that has all the Wii stuff plus online for the PS3 now that Elite isn't in the fold for Christmas.

NBA2K11 is pretty freaking amazing by the way. That is all.

That's why my voice settings are set to friends only. The only time I switch them back is when I have to play a user game in our NCAA online dynasty. For some reason, EA doesn't work well with friends only.

As far as single-player games coming out, Fallout New Vegas and Fable will be here soon.

Can't wait for Fallout New Vegas. Conveniently, it's the bye week for the football team I cover, so I'll have a little extra free time next week. :)

Got back into my NHL 10 dynasty this week and finally found some All-Star sliders that are to my liking, and I'm hooked once again. Game was way too easy on Pro and way too difficult offensively on All-Star default (EVERY freaking pass was seemingly poke checked away and broken up, and playing dump and chase was impossible). Playing a lot of really fun, competitive games right now where I give up some goals and don't score too easily. I hear NHL 11 is very good, but from the demo, it didn't seem like that much of a step above 10, so I stuck with the old game.

Is New Vegas a sandbox game or rigidly structured? And are you fighting people, machines or zombies?

    It's a sandbox type game.

In Fallout 3, you ventured out of the vault in search of your father in the Wasteland. You encountered mostly people and animals to fight. Other people that had survived the nuclear blast.

There are some robots as well.

With New Vegas, you've ventured out west.

In New Vegas, you are a courier that was shot in the head to start the game and have no memory, and you start your quest by rebuilding your memory.
The game is one I am salivating for, and by working Sunday I get to have Tuesday and Wednesday off, therefore I get two full days to play. I have logged over 200 hours on Fallout 3, and my wife has logged just as many herself. We're so excited for New Vegas we have started back on Fallout 3 just to get our Wasteland legs back.

OK. I decided to finish the MW2 campaign. It was good fun - a lil frustrating - but not as hard as I imagined (second hardest level /that's what she said). Sadly, replay value is all about multi IMO and the CoD series has it - for me anyway.

I have Halo: Reach and wish I saved the $64 because the game is not as great as the original(s). I think I'l finish off the campaign - which BTW is sorta useless since we all know what happens - and try to sell it or keep it for eye candy.

I never understood the Halo craze. It always seemed ugly to me. I like the CoD and Resistance and stuff like that, it looks more real to me. Halo always looked blocky and unreal to me.
    Am I crazy?

Incredible game. Playing the Jordan challenges makes me want to play historic seasons with some of those teams the Bulls face. Just faced the 1990 Hawks with 'Nique, Moses, Doc Rivers, Levingston, Willis, etc ... so awesome.

After two full days in the Wasteland of Fallout: New Vegas, I remember why I love the game as a whole.
But there are a few things that will drive you crazy.
    1. Perks only come every other level now, making a max of 15 when you can level up to 30. Miss getting a new perk every level.
    2. Now you can gather foods and such around the desert to mix together at campfires. It's time consuming and takes away from the plot. I have done everything I could to be away from it now, will likely go back later.
    3. Modded weapons are really cool, modded ammo is nuts. You can get all kinds of ammo for your weapons, but after a while when you are going down a list of 30+ ammo types when you just want plain 5.56 ammo, it starts to grate on your nerves.
    4. Skill magazines. Not skill books that give permanent points to skills, there are now magazines you haul around and can boot a skill by 10 for a short time. Annoying as you are hauling around a library in your pack, but beneficial because of 5.
    5. Plots where you need to be level 20 to do the easiest things. There was an average hack and an average lockpick in one of the first plots! It drives me nuts, because I get the majority of my XP from missions, not grinding in the wastes. Luckily I play as a sniper that uses lockpick and science as well so I was able to use magazines I had to track down in three different cities to boost the skill number enough to pick the lock and move the plot forward.

Anyway, the game is beautiful, and downright fun still. I will likely put 500 hours into it over the next few weeks.
However, in their quest to make New Vegas different than Fallout 3, the team decided to just make things more complicated. It takes away from the fun.
I have not, and will likely not, play Hardcore Mode, for at least a month or two, keeping track of drink, food and sleep along with ammo having weight sounds interesting, but would be completely overwhelming.

I haven't put nearly that much time into it yet, Precious. I've really only had time to get into the tutorial quests. I actually didn't have to, but figured what the hell.

I'll put in some more time this weekend. Then, unfortunately, probably not again for a week or two.

But that is the nice thing about playing the Fallout series. There is a ton of replay value in it. Like in F3, playing as good karma or bad karma. And here, playing as a male or female, in addition to choosing different factions.
