NBA 2K11 is $40 now and I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger. Downloaded the demo and it is so smooth.

As for baseball games, I loved MVP05 but that was my last game of the sport until 2K10 and I might have played a total of three hours. Such a waste of $60.

I had the same problem with Veronica, though she's not nearly as cool. One time outside of Hidden Valley, she just got stuck. I tried to dismiss and go pick her up again, but she wouldn't follow even when prompted. Annoying. I ended up sticking with Cass for most of the game.

Friend of mine had a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I'd never heard of the game, but I guess it was a big hit about four years ago. Looks like I'll finish it pretty quickly, but it's been a fun little game. Nice sort of mix of exploring for treasure and shooting bad guys.

Speaking of things that freeze up, DC Online has had issues across the board with freezes. They're working hard on fixing things but they have a long way to go.

Doesn't mean the game doesn't absolutely friggin rock though.

I have it and Jake does as well. We both profess to be horrible jump shooters.

The only problem I've had with NBA2k11 is that sometimes the CPU team can go on long runs where they don't miss a shot. CPU defense will tip A LOT of balls and almost always come up with the steal (not so much when my team tips the ball). Maybe it's me, not sure though.

I think I got it on sale for $29.99. The Jordan stuff is pretty cool.

But come a week from today, I'll be on the tee at Augusta, so Mike will have to wait.

Yeah Tiger 12 looks so good. I might get that instead. Tho, I have Tiger 10 and put it on the side for NCAA and MW2. Too many games!!

Oh goodness, I loved the MVP series. That game was freaking awesome.

You guys make me want to actually purchase a game that has been released in the last three years, and that didn't come with the system.

As soon as Nintendo lowers the price for Wii games, I'm there. Until then, the same company that perpetrated The Worst Controller In Popular Console Gaming History (Nintendo 64) will gouge gamers further.

The N64 controller was the worst in history? Not even close. While I'm not the biggest fan of it - I will always use a digital pad vs. an analog stick, I'm too used to learning on the NES - there are been far worse controllers. The Jaguar in particular was just a big block of suck.

Yeah, that's why I said "popular."

There are plenty of failed (read: discontinued due to sales, and without a successor by the same company) systems with worse controllers. The Jaguar. The Dreamcast.

But Nintendo's 64 and GameCube controllers looked like a company that, a decade after coming up with the one that simplified everything, was intentionally looking to complicate things.

Anyone get into Tiger Woods: The Masters yet?

Probably going to pick it up sometime today.

Picked it up this morning. Created my golfer and am playing in my first local event right now. Really fun so far. You also get a free 12-month subscription to either Golf Digest or Golf World when you buy the game.

Haven't played it yet. Need a nap before I get into it.

Did you download the demo? I did that, played the little five-hole tourney on there and can go right to the Amateur Tour, instead of starting at the local events.

At least that's what the demo said. Haven't tried it yet.

You also got XP for inviting friends to download the demo.
