I've come to dislike the new Tiger Woods, mainly because I keep trying to get the course mastery awards and can't. To advance, you have to hit longer and longer putts.

You need a 25-footer for a silver and 50-footer for gold. That means I'm intentionally hitting away from the flag so I'll have long putts. That means I'm two-putting a lot. That means I'm not winning tournaments.

I agree with you, inky...it's counterintuitive... Should be getting it closer, not further

And some of the hole locations when I am leading? No way. I 10 putted one green. 10! I've never done that in real life.

Just play a round at the course, instead of a tournament in The Road To The Masters mode.

I believe that still gives you mastery points/bonuses, and would still let you go for the pin in the tourneys.

I thought of that. But my game time is limited to about two hours per week, so I don't have much time to do that. Maybe after I win The Masters (finished six back the first time through).

And bd77, I'm with you on that. The pin locations on some holes are ridiculous and not realistic at all.

Inky, if you're playing at The National, they are HOLE locations ;).

Had a GSGA guy get angry at the state am media day about pin not being in the rule book. Has stuck with me.

Working my way through Heavy Rain, since I've been sick the past couple days. Probably not the best decision to start it at 1 a.m. though - stayed up until 5 playing it. My goodness, what a creepy, interesting game.

is the replay value high on it? Because if it is I might get it this summer from GameStop (used of course). This summer promises to be epic with

    LA Noire
    Infamous 2
    (and whatever e3 unveils).

Oh and if the Frigging SOE Network would ever come back up!

Well, I have GameFly, and I must say it is the perfect GameFly game. The main story is about 10 hours worth of play. However, what makes it unique are all the consequences - Main characters can die permanently, and there are seven endings, I believe.

I've got a couple of games I need to playthrough, otherwise I'd tinker with the endings more, but it's a fun game to go through at least once. The average price on eBay seems to be $20 to $30, and I definitely think it's worth that much. At the very least, it's a game you can rent from Blockbuster and beat in a weekend, assuming you still have one anywhere near you.

Sounds like a perfect GameStop used pickup to me

Modern Warfare 3 videos and info slowly leaking out. Supposed to be the continuation of COD 4 and MW2. I didn't buy Black Ops because the graphics looked like a downgrade and they removed some things (like stopping power) which I didn't like. I'm a sucker for multiplayer FPS games, though, and will buy this game on day one. The online play is so addicting and what's not to love about sniping some poor S.O.B. from 100 yards away?

Black Ops added a hell of a lot and eliminated a lot of the cheap BS that MW2 spawned. Either way I'll always buy these games when they come out, mostly because of the online play.
