Running video games (and consoles) thread

I like Black Ops for a few reasons. First off, I'm sorta good and can usually break even after slow starts. Quick scoping is a lot tougher. Maps are better. However, there are some downfalls as previously stated on this thread.

I also bought Tiger 12 today. Pretty fun game to say the least. I couldn't wait to play Augusta as me and two fellow golf buddies hopped right into it. I just finished the AM stuff - got the sponsor, won the practice, and finished 10 strokes ahead of everyone to win the first tournament.

 

Been seeing a lot of MW3 commercials.

Ooooh boy. Looks damn good. Well, sounds good, judging by just the limited commercials they've shown.

Oh and L.A. Noire shall be mine tomorrow.

 

While I find COD multiplayer to be INCREDIBLY addicting, I may be the sinlge worst player in history. Seriously. Doesn't keep me from playing, of course!

Picked up the PS3 last Christmas, so started w/ COD4. Got about half way thru the ranks & got hacked / all sorts of crap unlocked....twice. VERY annoying, just happened again this week. So, I've recently started over, w/ MW2. I'll continue to wait a bit longer on Black Ops.....go the el cheapo route....

 

I switched from Pro to Tour Pro mode in Tiger 12 and it gets a ton more difficult. Spin function/power boost gone (which is a good thing, way to easy to spin shots toward the hole). You've got to be really good with your approach shots to get a decent shot at birdie. Excited to finally play in The Masters and the other majors. Only one I qualified for the first season was the PGA.

 

I knew I had to switch difficulties when I won the US open ... By 32 strokes

 

Yeah, I won the FedEx Cup event at TPC Scottsdale with a score of -33. That's not even fun. Playing the early Scottsdale event now and am at -2 after one round. That's a little more realistic.

I got lucky playing the Hawaii event because it rained, totally softening the course. Won with a -18. The week before, I went DFL at Whistling Straits because I couldn't keep the damn ball in the fairway.

 

Anybody else find the ad that was previously on the right of the pages here, being moved to the left of the page extremely annoying? At least on my layout it is.


Anyway, Bough L.A. Noire. Will have a report tomorrow once I've played it. At work now.

 

Agreed Tommy, it's driving me nuts.
As an aside, Metro 2033 is pretty decent, not a bad storyline at all.
About to break open AC:Brotherhood for the first time in the next week or so, should be a good time.
Oh, and the challenge tower on the new Mortal Kombat can go to hell with me having to use Stryker to beat three Shao Khans with one life bar. They can go to hell and die.

Wow, unless it's changed (as in they've balanced it) the last time I played Stryker on MK he was one of the most annoying ones because his combo set was unbalanced and his moves pretty much sucked. To beat Shao Khan 3 times with one life bar using him ... well, yeah, they can go to the devil's crevice.

 

AdBlock isn't doing anything for me. I guess I'm not using it right
