Haha, that's a good commercial. Although he comes off as dry to me in interviews, Blake does seem to have a pretty good sense of humor. He did a bit with Norm MacDonald's new Comedy Central sports show, of all things.

    L.A. Noire - Awesome.

  4. Not a video game in the true sense (more computer if anything), but has anyone else played the Out of the Park Baseball sims? (http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/out-of-the-park-baseball/index.php). I've played it for about eight years and find it the biggest killer of my free time. The 12th edition comes out in late June and is supposed to blow the doors off the previous edition, which I thought was the best game I've played, period.

Tell me more. I want to pick it up, but interested to hear how it is. Is it closer to Grand Theft Auto 4 (fun but left me cold) or Red Dead Redemption (awesome and affecting)?

    According to reviews:

    - There is a sandbox element, wherein you explore LA in the 1940s, but remember, you are playing as a good cop. You're not allowed to carjack people and beat the snot out of prostitutes, basically.

    - The game is text and dialogue heavy. Good, but different.

    - The ending can come a bit out of nowhere.

That being said, the two I saw (IGN and one of the other big sites) gave it an 87 and a 90, I believe.

Played the par 3 course at Augusta today for the first time to beat the sponsor challenge. Greens were stimping at like 45. Seriously. Everything was sliding past the hole. Took forever to get used to it but I finally passed it after four tries.

You can still run over people in the streets. It effects your mission score at the end but sometimes they just get in your way.

It is dialogue heavy, but having to determine if someone is lying or not by their facial expressions is pretty damn cool and a bit challenging later.

I just made it to homicide detective.

I love this game so far. It's like playing a movie sequel to L.A. Confidential almost.

It definitely looks like an awesome video game version of L.A. Confidential. Since that was one of my favorite films of all-time, I consider that high praise.

A friend and I picked up LA Noir two days ago for his PS3. I really enjoy the game. And I think I'll enjoy it a second and third time through, trying to fix what I screwed up on cases. Every now and then I get frustrated with the Lie/Truth part of the game (sometimes what I think is good evidence to show someone is lying isn't what the game thinks is good evidence), but it's been a while since I've played a Rockstar game through to the end, but this one I'm dying to see how it turns out.

Just missed the cut for the Masters and by 'just' I mean I was ranked 132 or so, haha.

Pretty lame you have to purchase courses we got for free in previous installments. Had I known that, I would have skipped on buying this. Augusta is fun tho.
