I really need to pop in LA Noire now. I got it the first week, but had to head out of town for a few days for work. And then started playing The Masters (won back to back tourneys) haven't got around to it.

I imagine that will change the next four days.

The only thing I'm noticing as I get deeper into L.A. Noire is that some of the facial models look very similar, especially the female characters.

At least they look similar to me. Small gripe to a fantastic game so far.

Agree. Only 20 percent in, and at least two of the female characters were derived from the same actress' features.

So, after blundering my way to a 78 to end the TPC, the Road to the Masters gives me a screen that says, "looks like you're having difficulty at Tour Pro, why not drop a level?"

I took that as a blatant fuck you and then went out and shot 69 (-3) in the first open of the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Sometimes you just need motivation. Haha.

Holy shit. I just bombed my first case on the Arson Desk. Apparently I accused the wrong guy, but that case isn't all that easy. I managed a 1-star ... fuck.

    Story getting deeper though. wow.

Not sure why, but I noticed that in LA Noire, if I played for a while, I got worse as I went along. One or two cases, and I'm pretty on-the-ball. By my fourth case in one sitting, I'm fucking things up.

It gets harder, I will say that. The liars are harder to spot and sometimes you think you have the right evidence and you end up picking the wrong stuff. It's good though if you accuse someone you can back out if you don't pick the evidence to prove their lie, that way you can pick truth or doubt.

EDIT: I also came back strong on the next case and got 4 stars.

So, I'm only on my BB, and can't find it... Is the PS network still down?

Aspects of it work - You can play online via PSN. However, I think the store is still down. Allegedly, whenever they do get the store back working, you're supposed to be able to choose from two of four free PS3 games.

I don't have internet access at home for my PS3, so I brought it here to download my free courses to TW12 and the extra cases for LA Noire.

I'm concerned because the courses have an expiration date and I don't know the next time I'll get to my mom's house.

    Damn.

I'm sure Sony will extend shelf life for those things. They are supposed to have aspects of the store back up and running by the end of this month.

Finally took the time to finish the campaign for Black Ops. Not bad. Could have been longer I suppose, but that's just me.
