Liked that campaign, it was very well written. I agree that it should have been longer, but that's how I feel about all FPS games these days, as I have said over and over.

1-Up runs a list of good freeware games each year:

I'm playing through The Space Game right now. Pretty fun, although quite a bit tower defense-y. I also found Reclaimed through there, which is a fun zombie survival strategy game.

Nine-year-old kid opines on the Playstation hack.

This really is a new frontier.

Nintendo announced the Wii U today, essentially the Wii HD everybody's waited for with one major difference: a controller that has a 6.2-inch touchscreen in the middle of it.

This may be the first console I ever buy at launch. Madden, with my playbook on my lap instead of fishing through menus on the big screen? Hell yes.

Elder Scrolls 5 gameplay footage over at g4tv.com. I feel like Homer when he dreams of the Land of Chocolate.
    As Lisa would say, transcendental.

I know I'm extremely late to the party with this, but I'm finally getting to play through the World Cup on FIFA 10. Holy shit, I love this game more now than I did when my coworkers and I played a tournament with EVERY team (all 150-something of them, I think) on the game. That tournament took for-ev-er.

I'm playing as the U.S. Jozy Altidore is awesome. I've lost track of how many goals I've scored with him, but I'd be willing to bet he has at least 75 percent of them. I'm still playing through the qualifying rounds and haven't lost a game yet. Closest game was a 2-1 win over one of the better teams in CONCACAF (I can't remember who). Biggest blowout was a 5-1 win over Mexico.

I got Parasite Eve 3 in the mail today from GameFly, so I'm trying to finish Parasite Eve 2. I bought it when I was still in college, like four or five years ago from a PSX inventory clearance sale, but I never got around to playing it because, by then, the PS2 was dominant.

Man, I missed out. I had forgotten how sort of unique the games are - neat presentation values for the time, horror them, kind of like a more RPG-y Resident Evil. I'm not a huge fan of the control scheme (movement is so jagged ), and the camera angles and brightness leave a lot to be desired. Still, it's unique enough that I'm a fan, 11 years after its release date.

I'm got PE3 for the PSP to play right after this. Next on my queue are LA Noire, Indigo Prophecy, FF4 Complete Collection, Mortal Kombat (PS3) and Radiant Historia.

I just downloaded the original, thanks to the PSN "Welcome Back" deal. Heard really good things about it.

Likewise. I may fire it up tonight.

What did you pick for your second game? I went with Little Big Planet, although I thought hard about the zombie shooter and the racer.

I picked the puzzle / space shooting game with the weird name, heh. Solely because it was the highest rated of the remaining choices, and because I was getting LBP for the PSP.
