Finished L.A. Noire, what a disappointment. The game was amazing, the story was amazing, but the end was like a kick in the nuts and not a good kick in the nuts. I just hate you spend hours building up to something and then it just lets you down. For shame.

Purchased the new maps for Black Ops and they are fabulous. So much better than the previous two. In fact, the maps for black ops were pretty bad when compared to MW2 IMO.

FF 3/FF 6 was released on the Wii's virtual console today. Never played it, but I might get it.
Also, Chrono Trigger was released on the VC last month.

FF6 is worth checking out. Unlike a lot of older RPGs, the difficulty isn't punishing, and the story moves fairly well. Also, I'm guessing it's $5 to $10, and you'll get a good 30 to 50 hours out of it.

Played the demo for NCAA 12. Looks good and plays well also. Looks like I'll be spending some dough on it this year again.

Got my PS phone today, played a little Madden earlier (came with the device, along with six other games). Plays pretty darn well for a phone first, game handheld second device. Nice graphics, good response. Like it a lot.

I love GameFly. You get a $5 coupon every couple of months, plus for the Fourth, they gave everyone else an additional $5 coupon, plus you get 10 percent off any game you want to "keep" after a couple months membership. The end result? FFIV Complete Collection for $12.

The only problem I had with Gamefly was how hard it was to get some of the newer games, even a month or two after they came out.

I would have 7-8 games in my que of games I really wanted and even a couple I was only marginally interested in. And of course, the one that got sent was the marginal interest one.

It also would take at 5-7 days to get a new game sometimes. And I'm not that far from one of their hubs (Pittsburgh).

Much like Netflix, there is a trick to it - If you really want a couple specific games, remove everything else from your queue. I'm not real particular, so my queue has like 20 games in it. But when I really wanted a sequel to one game I was playing, I just removed everything else and it got sent to me within a few days.

Oh I've tried that with GameFly. Only had two games in the que. I went 3-4 days before it actually got assigned to me and then another two days to be sent.

I've never had a problem with Netflix, getting any movie I want, even new releases. And I send in a movie on Monday, I know I'll get the new one Wednesday.

It might also be that I just have a little bit of a backlog in games to finish (like Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fable 2) in addition to sports games (NCAA, NHL, TW Masters) that I just didn't have as much time to play a new game per week.

NCAA 12 on Tuesday. I really have high hopes for this one. Haven't bought an NCAA game since NCAA 10, and it was kind of a letdown. Hearing a ton of good stuff about the presentation in 12. Key point is that in dynasties you can change conference formations after every season. Crucial feature to add to the game considering the current shifting landscape.
