Running video games (and consoles) thread

I just finished LA Noire. What a let down on the story. It does set up LAN2 pretty well, I think.

I liked the game, and know that it's just the beginning of this type of format, so it was enjoyable.

 

You get all the DLC yet? They've released I think three cases now. Slip of the Tongue, Nicholson Electroplating and The Consul's Car. Reefer Madness is set to drop soon as well.

 

So today is my one-year anniversary with the wife. I bought her a diamond necklace ... she got me a heartfelt gift and Infamous 2.

Yeah, I'm in love.

 

Infamous 2 will bring you several hours of good gameplay. I'm just beginning the evil side.

 

The first one consumed my life for about two months as I tried (and succeeded) at getting the platinum trophy.

I'm replaying the first one now and am about halfway through. Will finish that up soon and get cracking on the second one immediately following it.

 

I will tell you this. The blast shards are a HELL OF A LOT EASIER to scoop up in the second one. The first one was just numbing.

 

My problem was I had no idea until after I beat the game twice that I could hit L3 and the blue dots represented the shards. Until then I just scooped them up when I saw them.

 

This one it lets you know when you're within like 15 or 20 of collecting them all and it gives you a blast shard indicator near the end to help even more.

How's the storyline? The first one was awesome IMO. Holding out hope for this one,

 

The storyline is pretty good. You'll find very similar gameplay, which is kind of a let down. But there are new powers and the rendering of New Marais (New Orleans) is very well done.

 

I'm stoked for NCAA 12. Haven't played the demo, but I've seen/read lots of stuff that suggest this is probably the best of the bunch.

 

I've played the demo and will be getting it. Interesting to see if they amped up recruting even more.
