I saw a used PSone with 6-inch LCD screen for $30 at Game XChange today. Wondering if I should buy it.

If it's new, you might want to get it just for investment purposes. The going rate for new ones on eBay seems to be about $85. (EDIT: Whoops, didn't notice that you said it was used. Yeah, that's about normal price on eBay for a used one. Keep in mind that some PS1 games are now available on PSP, so it might be easier for you to just get that plus have access to a bunch of stuff you haven't played.)

By the way, if anyone knowledgeable about games is looking to make some quick cash, you might want to check out your local Walmart. They throw new "old" games worth money - Dot Hack Part 3, Twilight Princess, Odin Sphere, Monster Rancher 4 - in the clearance bin for $10 to $20 along with all of the seven-year-old sports games. I've made a couple hundred bucks the past year because of it.

Do you turn them into Gamestop?

PSP is the only sony console I own and sometimes I forget I have it. Only games I have are The Show 09 and one of the Final Fantasy VII spinoffs. Are the PSone games available to download? I should know this, but I need to upgrade my software. I have one of the original PSPs.

Yup, you can just download them off the PSN.

Thanks. So good to know! I'm going to ahve to do this, but might need a new memory card since Sony likes to make things difficult and not use standard SD cards.

I know what you mean. I got a 2 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo a while back, thinking it would be enough space for my downloads (the three Resident Evils, and then I ended up downloading Metal Gear Solid not too long after). Boy, was I wrong.

How many did you end up fitting on there? A game can't really be more than 700 megs.

I just put them up on eBay. Monster Rancher 4 (PS2) got the best return for me - $10 at Walmart, sold for $76 on eBay. You kind of have to know what to look for - obscure RPGs, or really popular games (Zelda) in completely new condition - but I generally just look up games on my Blackberry as I'm shopping if I don't know the value.

MGS was 780 MB and RE2 was 757 MB (because of the fact that they were initially two-disc games). That took up a chunk of my space alone. RE: DC was 299 MB, and RE3 was 366 MB, putting me at 2.2 GB. Add in the fact that I like to keep videos and music on my PSP, and there's no way I would have ever had enough room.

Good point, didn't think about the two-disc fact.

I finally got some time to play some L.A. Noire... and of course mine is one of the PS3s that has a serious problem with it. Sigh. I should just get the machine fixed, but at this point, I have such a backlog of other games that I'd rather have it to play some other things - Infamous, the strangely addictive Magic The Gathering card game, my PS1 games - then to lose it for a while simply to play L.A. Noire.

I managed to get through about five cases, up until the one with the movie actress and the 15-year-old, and the questioning was already seriously pissing me off. It really is almost impossible to tell when they're lying. And if you can tell when they're lying, it's hard to know whether you're just supposed to doubt them, or if you have to use the evidence to catch them in the lie. The game would flow a lot better if you simply had to choose trust or doubt, and then if you chose doubt, you automatically or manually use collected evidence to sink the witnesses.
