Not sure, I know there have been some bugs. That's why I sprung for the extended warranty.

  3. well that was proper planning.

  4. Surprised to hear that a ps3 would crap out on someone. That's the first I've heard of that. Seriously.

I don't play a lot of Live games because I'm kind of not all that good, but I haven't had too many problems. Except that the ESPN radio updates are spotty -- I was still getting Georgia-Hawaii recaps three days later.

Also, College Hoops 2K8 >> March Madness 08. Game plays a lot smoother (it's taking some getting used to the post controls and passing, but I'm getting there). So far I'm 0-1 with my North Florida dynasty -- had a 2-point lead midway through the first against Maryland, ended up losing by 40. That's oddly satisfying, because I shouldn't be beating Maryland or Florida on the road with the Ospreys.

All I know is that the 360 is a helluva lot better than the ColecoVision I had in junior high.

I managed to kick some dude's ass in Tiger Woods today on Live w/o incident.

  10. I'm still having some issues, mainly with the dashboard not loading up right away. It's been fine playing rounds of Halo, but having trouble starting games on College Hoops 2K8. Don't know if that is a 2K server problem, but when I asked some people in the lobby they were fine. Internet connection is working just fine. It's a cable modem, so it's fast. Isn't Microsoft supposed to compensate people for the problems with Live?

Bought College Hoops 2K8 (rented it first) and NFL Tour (did not rent) today, the first games I've bought since NCAA Football 08. Should have rented Tour. So far it's a giant disappointment; it has the feel of a budget release, but it still cost $40. Few options, they toned down the juke moves from the Street series, you can't create your own team, you feel disconnected from the gameplay, the camera angle is too far away (and ruins Smash and Dash, their version of Smear the Homosexual Epithet Rhyming With Smear). And the announcer may be the worst piece of shit to ever crawl God's green earth. Half his lines are about how repetitive video game announcers are, and while some people jerk off to meta, I think it's one fail way of dealing with a shortcoming. It seems like it should be a much better game, which is what's so frustrating. Maybe NFL Tour 2 (if it gets to that point) will be better.
