I downloaded the demo and played it a little bit before work today. I love the fact that linebackers no longer knock a pass down or pick it off like they do in Madden 12.

And since I don't care to play online, I just may wind up getting this game eventually. I only use the online feature to download updated rosters on games like MLB 2K12 and NBA 2K12, so I'm good.

If you really wanna get a feel for what gamers are saying, check out the EA Sports Madden Facebook page. It's a real hoot. I even got banned from posting because I kept asking about two player offline franchise play. No cuss words or anything like that. Lame.

Hold off for a week or two. It usually goes on sale for about $40-44 a few weeks after release. Usually about the actual start of the NFL season.

NCAA had a sale about two weeks after release too.

    Or
Or look on eBay or Craigs because there are a ton of unhappy loyal fans about how much EA messed this year up. I'd sell mine $45 shipped today.

Still undecided. Kinda waiting for a response about it in the next day or so. I played '12 all night yesterday.

I stopped buying Madden around 2009, it wasn't fun to play anymore. You play on the highest level and it's damn near impossible. One level below and it's too easy.

    NCAA is way more fun.

Well I started my career with the Bills and while I'm not biggest fan of the new 'franchise' mode, the game play makes up for it. Tho, I will say, rookie CB Gilmore had three picks - all user tho - in a sluggish game against the Jets.

I hate how you have to build up XP to progress players weekly or use it for scouting. I loved the scouting system in '12. It was easy. All you had to do was pick 15 players every four weeks and it would open up an attribute. The new system , each attribute costs a certain amount of XP and well, it's just time consuming.

Mario Williams is ridiculous in this game too. If he's half as good IRL, Buffalo might just have a fighting chance to win seven games, hahah.

I'm going to wait until the weekend to fire up my franchise, if only because I want the accurate 53-man rosters. Final cuts are made by Saturday, right? I'll be on the road all day covering college football that day, so I wouldn't be able to really dig in until Sunday anyway.

Played a quick exhibition last night just to get a feel for the gameplay and it is definitely a very pretty game. It has a little different feel than the NCAA games thanks to the new engine. I think I'm going to like it.

Welp, played some more. Final verdict: this game sucks.

Running backs tripping on grass, CBs picking off everything - it's almost as bad as the linebackers jumping 30' and picking off everything in the middle -, game freezes, can't edit anything, no offline co-op franchise, connected career sucks, and the menus are terrible.

If a patch doesn't come out to fix the hundreds of issues and the offline co-op, I might not never buy Madden again.

ESPN NFL2k5 was the jam and it was years ahead of what EA was doing. I think 2K can do another game for next year, still not sure tho.

    You are correct, sir.

EA's exclusivity ran out in 2009, but they extended it to 2013.

Much like MLB, the end can't come soon enough.

Well, am still way into playing Diablo III.

The new patch that came out changed a lot. They made legendary weapons truly legendary

They toned down the difficulty in the later acts (Act II Inferno is still a mother to get through).

They tweaked the classes to try and promote different builds (Whirlwind Barbs were all too common)

And they added Paragon levels after Level 60 that add magic and gold find totals.

    All-in-all, still loving this game.
