If we have a firm commitment on a dynasty league for the PS3, I'd be willing to go in on it.

As would I. I had a small dynasty going where we just took MAC teams (Toledo, Northern Illinois) etc. It was pretty fun while it lasted. But we'll see what we can put together.

If anyone has a PS3, the store has a bundle sale on the digital download of Borderlands 1 and 2 - about $20 to $25, depending on whether you have a plus membership or not. I don't think the DLC is included though. The free plus games of the month seem to be Demon Souls and Infamous 2.

I downloaded Out Of The Park baseball for the iPad ($5, I think). Good gosh, the Pirates suck worse on there than in real life.

It's been a few days weeks? and no one's brought it up, but how bout that Xbox One?

No backward compatibility with the 360, registration requirements for the games, Kinect included to jack up the price, requires a once-a-day online sync, stull requires an Xbox Live membership just for Netflix, etc. ...

I think I'll get a Wii U. At least I can keep my old games and controllers. I played a demo of Arkham City at Best Buy, and using the GamePad as a weapons depot was pretty cool. Plus I'm a sucker for Mario. The 2D Mario is great as always, and there's a 3D follow-up to Galaxy coming later this year supposedly.

Unless the PS4 is an absolute bust, there's no way I'm going back to XBox.

Not sure if we've discussed it yet or not here, but NCAA 14 will have "streamlined" recruiting:

Eh, the Wii U doesn't strike me as anything special. Also, at this point, I'd almost argue that Nintendo is shooting for a different audience than Microsoft and Sony. The Wii definitively won the last round of the console wars - its sales totals are ridiculous - but to crossthread, it almost feels like the NCIS / Two and a Half Men of the video game world. I loved my Wii when it came out, but I haven't played the thing in the past two years, and it would have been three years if not for my very, very last exposure to the Guitar Hero games.

I'm intrigued, but I'd like to see it in action. EA has a spotty record when it comes to the kind of strategy / simulation options - NFL Head Coach was a mess, when I was expecting a big budget NFL version of something like Baseball Mogul.

NFL Head Coach was too much. I thought it would be a great game, at least in principle, but it sucked.

I'm definitely intrigued. I liked the dynasty setup in theory, but it was way too tedious in previous iterations of the game. Took forever to get through a week of recruiting. Sometimes I just want to play the damn games. Anyway, I'm in on this one regardless. Haven't bought since '12.
