Still my favorite of the GTA games, although I wouldn't mind giving San Andreas another shot.

San Andreas is amazing. I still think it's the greatest video game ever.

I find driving games boring. I can't imagine how boring a running video game would be.

I'm the same way with non-sports games.

Agreed. I own each of the first three, and it's the only one that's held my interest long enough to play to completion. There's a ton of missions, but they're not repetitive or impossible (for the most part) like in some of the other GTA games, and right when you get bored with one thing you're introduced to another. I also love the hidden minigames, like shooting pool in the neighborhood bar or betting on horse races. Gang fights are also a great way to do the old "mindless violent rampage" bit while also accomplishing something in the game.
So many things to see and do that you can take any number of breaks from the game, without taking a break from the game.

The only thing they left out that could've made it better is some sort of Alcatraz jailbreak level. If they'd have thrown that into the middle of the San Fiero missions it would've been incredible.

Playing through Ni no Kuni right now, which is pretty much as stereotypical as you can get when it comes to a nerdy JRPG. However, there are some very clever writing / localization aspects - One of the stores is called Paige Turner's Books, at one point you have to catch a literal red herring from a pond, pretty much all of the creatures that you can recruit have correct pun names, etc. It's amazing how far localization has come in the past 10 to 15 years, from the days of Square basically just giving the whole script to one dude and saying, "Here, do this in about a month, thanks."

Just played a guy on NBA 2k13 who was 1038-2. He is now 1038-3. By far my coolest video game moment.

must be playing the same guy.

    Aside from that,

Anyone pick up The Last of Us yet? I'm eagerly awaiting to get it, despite the word of a nasty auto-save bug.

NCAA 14 demo released on Tuesday. Not sure if that's for both systems, but likely is.

Should give us some indications on game play and other improvements.

    Xbox 360 Online Dynasty Update:

Myself, Jake, amraeder, Storm Surge with maybes from Mystery Meat and Madhavok. Other possibilities include Azgrad (if we can locate him).
