I'm only four weeks into a dynasty, but I love the new recruiting interface. That was one of my biggest complaints about the old dynasty, that you had to spend a half hour in between games going through the recruiting. At least early on, it takes maybe five minutes to take care of things. Big, big improvement.

I'm between Penn State (if no one else wants them), Northern Illinois and Arizona State.

Leaning heavily toward East Carolina at this point, but want to play with one more team before I pull the trigger, which I'll do tomorrow.

Also, it didn't occur to me until last night that I don't have XBL Gold anymore. Cancelled it a few months ago when I was barely using the Xbox. Anyone know of any decent deals that would keep me from plunking down 60 of my barely-earned dollars like a chump? I know Amazon has some sub-50 dollar deals, but you're stuck waiting for the physical card so you can get the code.

It amuses me that I seem to have a vastly different team selection processes than everyone else. I put maybe 60 seconds of thought into the team I wanted (Basically, eh, Ohio's on the list. I grew up in Ohio. They're not too good or too awful. Seems as good a choices as any).

You can choose for Amazon to send you it direct and not wait.

Meat, I think you can get an instant code option on Amazon. It costs a few dollars more, but it's still less than $60. Check Newegg.com too. You could also do a 3-month card/code until you find a good deal on a 12-month one.

Rumple, Like I said earlier, bring any and all discussion items to the table here. I don't make any decisions. I let the other league members decide anything that needs to be decided.

Like others have said, I don't recall a lot of blow outs in human v. human games. There were some real high scoring ones, but they were real close. Jake beat me by three TDs once I think

I got beat down a few times (especially in 11) and delivered a couple of beatdowns in the last season of 09. By and large, though, head-to-head games have been competitive or at least respectable.

OK. So custom playbooks are allowed? Are we going to start a new thread for this?

People have been respectful throughout the history of this thing about not running up the score in user games.

We talked about the custom playbooks when we first started talk of getting it going again. I don't have a problem with custom playbooks. I look at it as it being your team. You're the coach. You can create whatever playbook you want.

We also try to be a little realistic too, calling different plays and actually trying to run an offense, instead of just exploiting one or two plays per game.

Yea, I'll start a new thread so we don't bog down this one too much.
