I've only ever seen clipping (on returns only) and false starts so far.

The comp hasn't missed a FG against me, but I've missed a few. Guess my kicker can't handle a 47 yard FG ...

And as far as recruiting, with the online dynasty just started, I already have a 5-star interested in Tulsa (ATH) and his first choice is Tulsa sooooo I dunno.

I've had the computer jump offsides a couple times with fake hikes. I don't recall any other defensive penalites, now that you mention in. There definitely seem to be fewer facemasks than there were in 10.

Actually I had one facemask called on me now that I think about it.

A five-star to TU? Obviously facilities aren't that big of a deal in the game.

I was as shocked as you. Based on the limited scouting I've done on him, he looks to be rating out as a RB.

  6. I'm not a big fan of how they ruined one of the Air Raid staples.

Y-Stick used to be simple: Z runs a vert, Y hits the quick stick route, and the HB runs an arrow into the flat. Who gives a shit about the left side because that combo of routes on the right is almost a guaranteed completion every time. In 14, all the arrows are now swing routes, which gives you much less incentive to flip the ball to the HB, slows his momentum and makes you cover more ground before you're even back to the LOS.

Yes, it's very minor but it's a big deal to me and how I play the game.

I dig the new recruiting system, but it's also easy to go on autopilot with it. I would enjoy seeing the game kind of combine the two, or maybe just give you the "choose three things!" option back on visits. Otherwise, it's just "set points, watch and make sure you're not mad behind, repeat."
    -----
Option is more fun this year, but I'm having some problems handing the ball off in Inverted Veer. Oh well, time to punt that from the playbook.

Overall, a nice step forward from 13. Only had one freeze (the first time I played. lol) and everything else has been fine.

Well, really, you only need to hit on 3 things to have a good shot at someone. So the person wants close to home and playing time, you've got two good ones even if you're a crappy team. Although I don't know what else, if anything, Tulsa is good at. At Tulane, for example, you get a Louisiana prospect who care about prox to home, playing time and academics and you're golden.

I average about 1 or 2 clipping penalties, but I never get them called on me on kick returns. Always painful and they always seem to come when I'm either driving for the tying or winning score. Ugh.

But the worst was a ticky-tack pass interference call in the red zone that put my opponent on the 1-yard line. I rallied to win, but it still pissed me off.

I just finished the first year of my dynasty. I picked Duke because I wanted to play as a bad team in a BCS conference with a variety of uniform choices. Through the combination of an extremely weak out-of-conference schedule, catching a break with an easy ACC schedule (only tough game was at Virginia Tech, which I came back to win in the final seconds) and some other lucky bounces, I went undefeated and got to the national championship game. There, I was excited for the chance to face a tough team. I was hoping for an Alabama or the next best SEC team. Instead I get a 13-0 Fresno State team. Yes, that's right. The national championship game was Duke vs. Fresno State.

My pass defense is shit, I am money against the run though. I always manage to recruit fast DE's and LB's and they play really well in my 3-4. I get killed on the little six or seven yard routes in passing. A QB can complete 25 passes against my D and have maybe 200 yards.

I was chasing a kid in recruiting who was a four-star LB, his schools were: New Mexico State, Boise State, UNLV, USC and Washington. I get SC and UW, but the first three were odd, he picked NMSU.

That's all I've seen too. And they are rare.

And I tweaked the penalties to try to get a few more holds, pass interference, clips. Yet the bulk of my games (online and offline dynasties) have had 0-1 penalties (combined).

*Turns penalties up to 100 in online dynasty* ;)
