EA wanted to make Madden so real they left out one important thing: VIDEO GAMES SHOULD BE FUN!!

I don't care if they're real or not. I'm in my eighth season with Washington on NCAA and have won seven straight championships. I just won the Heisman with a RS Freshman QB, I have three Heisman winners, I win LB of the year every year. I know these things aren't real, but that's kind of the point of a video game.

That's the most scathing, for lack of a better word, review I've read so far.

I was planning on getting it eventually; now, I'm not so sure.

May be time to bump up that difficulty level.

Well, I'm kind of glad the reviews are bad. It's been years since I bought a Madden and was planning on getting it Wednesday morning. Now I'll just save that money for the next GTA and a new FIFA, since I've not bought that one in three years or so.

I'll admit that when it comes to games, I normally play on the easiest difficulty level, just because I find it so much less frustrating to play most games that way. If it's a game I really love, usually I'll double-back and try it on a harder level, like with the Mass Effect series. Sometimes I'll look up to see the differences between difficulty levels and there isn't much of one, and that's usually the only time I'll play on hard. (Examples - Kingdoms of Amalur isn't any harder on hard, and the old PSX game Valkyrie Profile, the game was actually easier on hard because your heroes started at lvl1, instead of lvlX with improper stats.)

All-American the game is a challenge.

Heisman it's ridiculous. I played an exhibition game as Oregon on Heisman just to see how hard it was, took on WSU and couldn't do shit.

On older versions, it was easier to exploit different things playing on All-American -- which eventually became too easy for me. I bumped up to Heisman, found it insanely too hard and dropped back down. There has not been a middle ground between AA and Heisman in the past. Not sure how it is this year.

    Same this year.

  11. No kidding. I will play PEOPLE who play Heisman, but I can't do it myself. That's some rarified air.

Now, on offense maybe I could move it up, but on defense I'd need to stay on AA, or maybe even knock it down to Varsity. haha
