I'll post my friend code tonight, assuming I can find it. I found a Wii last weekend.

Sweet. Make sure you post both your Wii code and your Smash Bros. code. Maybe we'll get an SportsJournalists.com tourney after all!

I don't have Smash Bros. & I'm not sure if I'll be getting it.

The only games I currently have interest in grabbing for the Wii are Super Mario Galaxy & Pinball Hall of Fame.

I'll put Smash Bros. on the Gamefly que. It could be a while before I get to it though.

Well, even if you don't get Brawl, the new Mario Kart is out April 25. That should be awesome online play, though if it's anything like Brawl you'll need to play with registered friends, not random opponents.

    I've got Kart pre-ordered.

  5. No offense Gomer, but I've never understood pre-ordering a game. If I'm taking money out of my wallet, I better be walking out of the store with the game. I've never had a problem getting a very popular game on the first day, and that includes Halo 2, 3 and GTA San Andreas.

I usually never do either, but I did put $10 down on GTA IV. I want that game ASAP & didn't want to risk missing out.

Yeah, but keep in mind that I own the system that took me two weeks of random trips to the video game store to obtain. I've been trained from that experience, and since I'll be putting down the money for it anyhow, it makes sense to pre-order so that I never have to wonder whether I'm going to get the dang thing or not ever again.

I also plan to pre-order Wii Fit and Rock Band.

Sometimes being an idiot has benefits (referring to me, not you, PoP)...

I misread the sign at Gamestop and plunked down the money for GTA4 on March 27, thinking I'd have a shiny new game in a couple of days. Except the sign said APRIL 29 (18 days and counting, BTW), something I failed to comprehend.

But it worked out for the best. I had the money to spend in late March; when I pick up the game, both me and my wife are going to be pretty poor. We'll have been in our new place all of 11 days - and we've got a LOT of shit to buy for the new place.

Gomer's not as bad at Brawl as he says. But if anyone else here has it, lets play. That game kicks serious arse.

You are infinitely too kind, sir. However, one day, some day, I will defeat you.

Serious question: We're moving into a new place and we're going to have to switch ISPs, likely from Comcast to Cox.

Cox offers several different connectivity packages - the fastest and most expensive downloads 15 MBps and uploads 2 MBps. The cheapest downloads at 768 KBps and uploads at 256 KBps; there are packages in between.

Is there a minimum threshold I need to be at to play games online, specifically with XBox?

    What's the price difference?
