The game is more addictive than black tar heroine. I had to finally ask my girlfriend to just hide the thing.

Again, the best video game these calloused thumbs have ever played. And there ain't a close for second.

Generally speaking, the top bandwidth is too much for anyone but the most hardcore PC gamers' needs. Too low - even though it is cable - won't cut it for anything more than downloading mp3-size files.

Your best bet is whatever you can afford of the middle two options. If you're like me and run an Internet-based telephone service like Vonage, plus regular downloads of files and online gaming off your console, you'll want the $40/month option. If you're on a regular phone line and your Internet connection isn't likely to be taxed by multiple devices at the same time, the $30/month option will do just fine for your Xbox needs.

  4. Gomer, anyone, playing Mario Kart yet?? It's friggen awesome. Once you get used to the wheel, you can start playing online and right now, just about everyone is on the same level. My buddy and I played against the World and every race was close. If you're thinking about getting it, but aren't sure, PICK IT UP TONIGHT AND PLAY!!!

And PM me and I'll give you my friend code!

I don't have it yet, but will probably get it soon. It looks like it could be fun -- all the other Mario Karts have been.

Just got it, about to go and play right now.

I assume there's a specific code for playing Kart online that's separate from the Wii code? I'll post mine here once I open the box. Feel free to add me.

Someone let me know after it comes out if GTA IV is worth me going out and buying a PS3 in order to play it.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED every GTA since GTA 3, and was totally hooked, but shelling out roughly $500 for a system and the game isn't high on my priority list unless I absolutely have to do it.

Picked up Mario Kart today. It's my first Kart game & I'm not sure what the appeal is. It's fun but nothing special. Maybe it will grow on me.

I also received the RROD today. My 360 was built in January of '06, so I'm surprised it lasted this long.

Seeing as GTA IV is only two days away, I can't wait for M$ to fix my machine, so I'm now the proud owner of a much newer (& presumably more stable) 360. I'll sell the old one (or new, depending on what they send back to me) to a buddy to help offset the cost.

Norman, the game looks amazing. I can't wait for Tuesday.

I actually treated GTA IV like The Sopranos...I loved it so much I just blocked it out of my mind during those long periods when they were working on the next one.

All I know is it's based in Liberty City again. Any other details you can share?

Here are some specifics about the game:

It's getting almost across the board perfect scores. True to the GTA formula, with far more detail.

According to the above link, the PS3 & 360 versions are nearly identical. Of course, M$ coughed up a ton of cash to have exclusive rights to downloadable content, details of which have not been announced. Recent rumors suggest completely new cities, but most likely it will be more missions or something similar.

See, I read something similar about the exclusive content that said that both Sony and M$ were getting some...am I wrong?
