I think there's a chance. But it'll be location to location.

I know if you're one of the first 50,000 to buy it in your time zone, you get some free music downloads from Rockstar.

Got the Red Ring of Doom yesterday. Couldn't have happened at a worse time!

I filed my claim & bought another machine. I'll sell my repaired one when it comes back.

The turnaround time seems to be about 2 weeks total. Hopefully it's quicker.

I'm figuring it's got to be at least 3 up here in Alaska.

Hell amr, anchorage is one of the biggest cargo hubs on earth. It might not be too bad.

True.. and do they get sent to the Washington area? That wouldn't be too far away, right? Maybe there's a glimmer of hope. But damn, why'd this have to happen right before GTA came out? WHYYYYYYYYYY?

I picked it up this morning and played an hour before leaving the house.

The graphics are outstanding. The new physics engine makes high-speed driving difficult. Using the cell phone to meet contacts and start missions is a novel idea and pulled off pretty well. Haven't gotten a gun (or used a cheat code) yet, so I don't know how the new targeting system works.

It takes some getting used to, IMO - then again, I could be having problems because I'm coming from PS2. It seems like the concept is pretty much the same but for me, the mechanics of it take some adjustment.

Driving is definitely more difficult; plus the attributes between cars vary quite widely. Driving the Patriot was nice but wow, it didn't take much for that thing to tip over going around a corner.

As Inky said, the graphics are top-notch. The detail is just outstanding and everything looks incredible. And how deeply you can get into the game is unreal - darts, bowling, pool, cabaret... unbelievable.

And am I the only one that can't understand a freaking word from Little Jacob?

Hustle, do you have a HD TV?

Obviously, the graphics would be better on HD, but I'm guessing still pretty damn good on regular def.
