I read that too, I was just hoping it was an off night. Oh well, I guess it's back to Team Fortress 2 and an attempt to get the server to pick me up.
Downloaded the 136 MB patch for the Orange Box (yes, it was that big) and spent most of the night trying to get connected. I'll try again tonight, but if it doesn't work I want my money back.

It might be a PS network thing too.

On XBL, there is usually a decent handful of people to get in a deathmatch with.

On a side note, how often do people on here trade in their games? I've never really thought that was a cost efficient thing to do. I mean, you pay $50-60 for a game and then go to Gamestop and get $10-20 for it.

Yeah, but Gamestop also sells new/slightly used games which that $10-$20 is used toward acquiring so you don't have to pay $64 for a new game.

Agree, got the last game I bought almost a month ago for 30 bucks and I'm nowhere near finished with it, great value. I just didn't get a manual with it.

I think there's a ton of replayability with GTA IV. I finished the game, but I still have lots to do to get to 100%. I just have too many other games to play & not enough time. Stupid achievement addiction. :p

Oh I agree with you Stormy. I would always plug in San Andreas and just screw around.

Do the same with GTA IV, even tho I haven't finished the story yet. I just haven't put it in much lately (playing too much NCAA and NHL right now instead).

You'll be happy to know that EMU is back to back national champs in my quest to bring a 1 star school to 6 stars. ;D

That's what I hate about these games. Just so unrealistic. ;)

Answer me this, NCAA fans: Does the new version of the game still give equal weight to teams that win crappy conferences?

I still play NCAA 2003 (I'm in dynasty mode, in like 2025), and the game pisses me off because it gives the same weight to winning the MAC that it does to winning the SEC. So at this point in my dynasty, the Utahs, Fresno States, North Texases and Ohio U's of the world are now ranked above the Ohio States and USCs. It's frustrating that my bowl opponents are always no-name schools. And I say all this even though I play as Marshall.

Can't speak for '09, but '08, that's not the case. I've won three bowl games, including two national championships, I can't recruit anyone worth a damn. 2 stars max.

It doesn't give it the same weight. Hell, Wisconsin is 7-0 in my sixth dynasty year ( I recently switched from Miami to Georgia) and they're not even in the top 10. I have to look at their sked to find out if they've played shitty teams. But the S.O.S. does weigh heavily on the rankings.

That's why whenever I played NCAA I'd schedule an uber-tough schedule so when I went undefeated I had to be first.
